Welcome to qlinklives.org, the new, permanent home of Remember Q-Link. For information as to why this came about without warning, see the Whats New page.
When the "official" history of online services is written, it will no doubt concentrate on the likes of CompuServe, Prodigy, GEnie and AOL. Unless the book happens to be written by a former Q-Link member, it is unlikely that any mention will be made either of Q-Link or the computer for which it was created, the Commodore 64. Hence this web site.
What youll find here are: a brief history of Q-Link which I wrote several years ago. That essay was the basis for the original "Remember Q-Link" web site on AOL; letters from many former Q-Linkers who wrote in response to that essay and who have kindly given me permission to share their memories with you; exclusive screen shots (such as the one above) that you will find nowhere else; scans of several items that I hope will be of interest to former `Linkers and Commodore owners; and, of course, a page of links to a few of the many, many other Commodore web sites. |
