Here's a letter from one of the real old-timers. Mikee has the distinction of having been the second member hired to be a QGuide. He also was most certainly the QGuide with the longest service, having been active in the QGuide program almost until the end.
If you see this, Mikee, thanks again for writing! :-)

Hi guy! I must say that I just now stumbled upon your "Remembering Q-Link" page, and you did one heck of a job of it. I thought about doing one myself, but it's not necessary now ;)
Now, if I ever need to explain Q-Link to those who weren't around when it was alive, all I have to do it point them to your page.
Of course, I could also still point out that Q-Link influenced even more than you've listed, like the ubitquous use (even in commercials) of what we used to call "QShorthand", smileys, etc...and it seems that after 13 years, I still can't stop using them!!! Arrgh!
I'm thinking of putting together a story for your page - but I'd have no idea how to start. As I wrote when I wrote my farewell letter on AOL a year or so back, a good part of my past dozen-plus years was tied up in there (mainly on Q-Link, though it was tough to explain that to the AOL-only types ;).
Feel free to put this letter up in your mailbag section.
BTW, in case you wondered, I'm out here on the West Coast not terribly far from you now...I'm a reporter/editor/anchor and technology reporter for Sacramento's top-rated news/talk radio station, NewsTalk 1530 KFBK...
Have a good one! Great page! :)
