I'd like to thank Leslie Miller for her great article about Q-Link (and this web site), which appeared in the February 10, 2000 issue of USA Today. :-)

Greetings,
I have no idea what possessed me to type Q-link into the search engine, but I'm glad I did. Your page brought back some pretty good memories. I was about 13 years old, got $100.00 for X-mas, and ran out to get a 1200 baud modem for my Commodore. With my paper route I supported my Q-link addiction. It was really difficult since there was no 'local' dial up for me, and my parents got those huge phone bills.

I went by the name Kamuri on Q, thus I consider myself the "original" Kamuri. I get a little angry whenever I find out someone else is using that as a user name. I found your page very informative, and was a little disappointed to find out that Q basically transformed into AOL. I can't stand AOL. But putting that aside, I completely agree with your views about the Commodore and that Q-link should be remembered in the history books.

I'm sorry to say that no "one" particular Q person stands out in my memory, but I look forward to following your links to other Q members.

Thanks,
Mike (Kamuri) Hale
