ERROR FIXEDI tried shorting the gray pin mentioned to a black one on my power supply which follows the pin colors you listed and it wont turn on, is there a mistake? YES

CORRECTconnector pinout is correct, though i have seen different coloring code for this dell supply, on my PS there was no TFSC wire at all -empty spot YES
ERROR FIXEDDell Precision 610 (and maybe other Dell workstations of similar age) also uses a very similar 24pin P1 connector, but according to the service manual, pins 17-24 are -5 VDC (white), -5 VDC (white), +5 VDC (red), +5 VDC (red), +5 VDC (red), TFSC (brown), +3.3 VDC (blue/white) and common (black) respectively, instead of N/C, +5 VDC (red), +5 VDC (red), +5 VDC (red), TFSC (brown), +5 VDC (red) and +3.3 VDC (blue/white). CORRECTPlease forget about my previous report saying that the pins are not correct with reference to the Dell service manual. It seems that the Dell service manual is wrong.
