There have already been two copy right complaints. How many people / web site masters check for this? I would think not many, as it’s too difficult. How ever as the number of complaints increase it could be an issue..
At this time my site have no substantional fragments of any copyrighted website, except HwB. 250-300 documents (what is about 1/4 of my site) are originated from Hardware Book, with agreement of website owner. But even if Joakim Ogren will change his mind and revoke permission, it wouldn't be catastrophic for me.
In addition, I'm never just copying documents - I'm using them to build my own webpages.
I copied and pasted text [in quotes] from a number of pages on this site and got a number of hits on google, indicating either this text was copied from other sites, or other sites had taken the text. Do that again and you see the origin of the text, which is not this site. I also see copy right notices on the other sites.
Yes, it's possible.
But many copy right notices you seen are meaningless.
Why?
Because this website owners are not owners of information they copyrighted. "(c) and so on" is a common part of almost any website template and placed on every page, despite of content.
Anyway, due the nature of my site, there should be some unexplored copyright violations.
I'm trying to explore them and fix by obtaining author's permission, rewriting, redrawing, using materials from other sources......
Many webmasters are already agreed to share theirs materials with me.
I agree with you that this web site is just coping text from other web sites, that’s it, thanks for showing me the truth.
No, we are not just copying texts. We are using this information to build our own webpages. Sometimes it's near to copying (especially if there is a pinout table only), sometimes I'm rewriting existing documents (this is enabled by copyright law). In addition, there are many documents and graphics written by me and my visitors.
