My Arce! That's where I took up smoking to begin with! I am a native
Californian - born in L.A. at the general hospital. I lived in Hollywood on
Sunset blvd. during the so called Hippy Generation and can say with fact
that smoking was the least they were doing and I doubt they have changed!
Boyee! Could I tell you some stories that would make you blush! (Let me
clarify - I was not involved - only an observer! Ha) =*--ANN--*=

In Del Mar, a measure to totally ban smoking in public places was narrowly
defeated. Of course, that's the People's Republic of Del Mar. Elsewhere in
California, there's a little more tolerance for smokers -- but not much.
Trust me, California's changed a little since you lived here. We even have
indoor plumbing now. (I have a feeling I'm going to wish I hadn't said
that).

That's nothing. I walked by Revco inside Maryvale Mall the other day, and
they had a "Halloween Sale" poster that showed two kids in Halloween
costumes, going through their Trick-Or-Treat bags. On the poster, directly
below the photo of the children, it advertised a sale on Tylenol.

That is pure Bullshit.... Say you are an army ant and you live with 10,000
other army ants and you guys don't like your nieghbors fifty feet to the
west, the fire ants. So, you guys sign a treaty to disarm and be peaceful
forever, after awhile someone within one of the colonies WILL eventually
become stingy enough to WANT the rest of the land so thier colony can expand
due to a population increase (over time), therefor leading to a fight. What
difference does it make if they use pieces of sand, rocks, leaves, tree
branches, trees, guns, lasers, atomic bombs, hand grenades, nuclear weapons,
thermal nuclear weapons, or what have you, it is still be WAR, the threat of
war!! O.k.! It is not a pretty sight. But niether is RAPE, ROBBERY,
DRUGS, or any other violent act!!!!
So cut us some slack with your Disarmorment B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THERE ALWAYS HAS BEEN *AND* *ALLWAYS* WILL BE A GREEDY ONE IN THE BUNCH!!!!
If you don't like it, then get the F*CK off my PLANET!!!!! (HAHAHAAA)
Seriously, You can only trust the people THAT YOU KNOW PERSONNALY, so who's
to say if we sign a treaty with the U.S.S.R. that they won't stab us in the
back... It is in Russia's so called Constitution that they will do thier
best to *OWN* the world *AT ANY COST*!
I personnaly don't like the idea of weapons or war BUT!,
that is a small price to pay for * * F R E E D O M * *!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please come forward and tell me what to do! If not - this work of art will
not be around long enough for other members to see and will not be a fit

care to type in appropriate chapter and verse?
Your fire ant/black ant analogy, while very entertaining, completely misses
the point. We are all HUMAN. Not only are we genetically the same, we can
actually *think* about the consequences of our actions, and *choose* the
right path to make this world a better, more sane, place.

The fact is Ann, as far as I'm concerned, neither Bush or Dukakis, or their
respective running mates are more than a bunch of jokers with their heads in
the sand and their other ends doing all the talking.
The problem is that it is probably better to vote against the one you like
the least rather than throw yor vote away by casting a ballot for someone
who doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of making it.
Hopefully, we still have a legislative and a judicial branch of government
who, if we choose wisely, will balance out the lack of leadership in the
executive and keep us afloat. Thank God this is still not a monarchy or
dictatorship.

Ralph :
What has happened to you in the last three weeks - have you become cold
hearted and insensitive??Where is that warm, gentle human being I used to
know?If Rose saw what you put in the last few messages, she would castrate
you in a second. We sure as heck don't want to shoot the poor, unemployed
and unwanted. Those that gripe about our system of poilitics and the
republic for which we stand should be shipped to lower Mongolia (or Russia),
whichever is worse off at the time, and let them stay there for 2 years. I
bet they would come back with a total different attitude. It would also
relieve our social security benefits, welfare benefits and probably balance
the budget in the process. So Ralph, let's not be to imperialistic with our
views in front of others, OK?? C'Ya Robert Burchett

Starving children receive military aid
Between 1979 and 1985, U.S. military and economic aid to
Honduras jumped from $31 million to $282 million annually.
The largest increase was in military aid, which increased to
28 times the 1979 level. In exchange, Honduras agreed to
become a base for some 15,000 Nicaraguan contras, to join the
U.S. military in joint maneuvers, and to provide logistical
and intelligence support to the Salvadoran military in its
war against leftist guerrillas.
During the same period, U.S. aid designated for development
assistance dropped from 80 percent of total aid to 6 percent.
It has been estimated that 70 percent of the country's
children are malnourished. Among those brought to the
capital's hospital for treatment, 10 to 15 percent die due to
a lack of vitamins.
Juan Almendares, a physician conducting research on
malnutrition at the National University in Tegucigalpa, says,
"When the government says there is no money available to
help the hungry, we must remember that Honduras receives
more than $200 million a year from the U.S. government. We
Hondurans ask why isn't any of this money going to help the
poor?"

I have this great printer for sale. It is a C. Itoh F10-40.
It is a daisy wheel printer with all of the bells and whistles--
super-script, subscript, bi-directional printing, micro-space
justification, etc.
It has a wide carrage, and types at 35 CPS. Works great.
It is a heavy duty machine designed for commercial use. It has never
spent a day in the shop.
I've taken great care of it. I have the original box, and paper
work. I'd like only $200.00 for it. Let me know if you're interested.
My phone is 952-8233, or leave E-mail!!!!!
Have a great day!!!
Avrom Green.
