Rod, I hate to break the news to you...
Locksmithing isn't that hard. If you and James Hawley can do it, anyone
can. (Don't get your feelings hurt, James, but you are the one who messed
up the rocket.)

If you believe that pot is healthy, then you must also believe that there is
a conspiracy among the best qualified doctors in the country who insist that
pot is unhealthy.

Locksmithing, especially the use of picks and such, is an art. It requires
intuitive skills, not loads of book knowledge. It probably would be easy for
the average person to acquire the textbook knowledge to practice
locksmithing, but many could not master it.

You make joke, no? I have trained about 9 people to be locksmiths
and only two are still plying the trade. It is something that you probably
could not do (along with most of the people). After all, aren't locks
susposed to keep people from taking what they want?
As far as the rocket went.....well, I thought it was just great. We
had the first rocket go straight up.....how boring...and the other rocket
did these marvelous tricks for us. I would give it an A+ rating.
How many of your brain cells have been destroyed by being a Mormon.
Let me know when you are going to be at Cliff's house so I can avoid the
area.

Yeah, right. A good, dead, friend of mine used pot to counter the
effects of the big C. It was with his Dr. permission. Another friend of
mine has M/S and she had never used pot before she got it but it sure helps
her more than the pills. She also has the Dr. permission.
But, of course, you are talking about government doctors, you know,
the puppets. Am I correct?
Pot is also good for Glaucoma......it usually makes the difference
between being able to see or going blind.
I take it you have never been man enough to try it because,
obviously, you follow the program as it was written for you.
By the way, have you ever had a drink of alcohol? Mouthwash is
usually alcohol based.
In any case, let me know what areas of town you will be travelling
in as I want to avoid them, perchance we run into each other and I have to
barf. FACT.

I will agree with you about common courteousy and flatulance. But I wasn't
aware we had went to that GT to be courteous to each other. It was a fun
time. I know I kidded with almost everyone there and they didn't seem to
take offence. We were even worse at the GT at Cliff's house. You have kidded
much in the past about being part indian. What if someone suddenly took
offence at that? What if Paul's wife sat back and judged you - wouldn't go
over and even meet you - and thought you surely 'unwashed' because you were
an indian? Think about it. *::=ANN=::*

More from *Utne*:
The consensus-making machinery
The people who run America think on a global scale about
their course of action. They are, after all, sitting astride
an empire that requires trade, raw materials, labor, and
markets from across the planet. Protecting those far-flung
economic interests, of course, requires global military
power. And the maintenance of a global military capacity
ultimately requires that the citizens of the mother country
(that's you and me) be convinced that the whole imperial
enterprise is worth the cost.
Continuing to convince a majority of the American
population that the maintenance of an economic empire and a
global military presence is actually in their own interest
requires more than just dealing with the occasional crisis.
It requires grand conceptual frameworks and imaginative
ideological constructions that must constantly feed upon
reams of data, multiple reams of analysis, constant probing
of the popular psyche, and endless contingency plans.
Elite universities, corporate research departments, and a
whole universe of think tanks work full time compiling,
sifting, and shaping an official picture of the world that
can be sold to the public at large. Then it trickles down to
media professionals and politicians. Finally, at the other
end of the process, there emerges a "consensus" regarding
things like deregulation of natural gas prices or
"democratic reform" in El Salvador. Somehow the policies
that come out of this process always seem to serve the
interests of the corporate elite that set the agenda. The
process by which policy is shaped and public consent
manufactured is simply the natural interaction of economic
interests, ideology, and raw coercive power through which
rulers everywhere have always maintained their dominion.
For most of the duration of the American empire, the latest
chapter of which got under way in 1945, management of the
global system went pretty smoothly. The first step of the
process was to create a permanent state of war with the
Soviet Union and an omnipresent international communist
threat. This was necessary, in the famous words of the late
Sen. Arthur Vandenburg, to "scare the hell out of the
American people" in order to ensure acceptance of a permanent
war economy, peacetime conscription, and an institutionalized
nuclear threat. Anti-communism also provided the
all-encompassing ideology needed to cloak American
imperialism in the language of freedom and democracy.

You want to know who's passing judgement on queers?
Read Romans, cnapter 1. Then read it again. Then read the 32nd verse of that
chapter the third time.
Judgement was passed a long time before I ever knew what a homosexual was.
God did it. Not me.
Now, if you read my message to Mr. Simpson again, you will see that I have
not left God's mercy or forgiveness out of the picture. Again repeating what
God has already said, I said that there is always room for repentance. With
repentance comes a turning point in the life of the individual, after which
he is no longer what he used to be. Old things are passed away. ALL THINGS
become new. That includes the lifestyle. Therefore, if a homosexual truly
repents, all things are renewed, and the individual is no longer a
homosexual. Again, back to Romans 1, if there is no repentance, and the
individual remains in the sinful life style, he/she brings the condemnation
upon himself that is so clearly stated in verse 32.
Now, read it one more time, and impress it into that little mind of yours.
I judge nobody. God already has.

You continue to run off at the mouth about someone you know nothing about,
and the depth of your ignorance is almost astounding.
The only thing you seem to find to yak about is the fact that my wife didn't
jump up and run to greet everybody.
If you recall, she spent the whole evening stuck in a corner of the booth,
and to move at all would have necessitated moving several people in either
direction. Besides, she is basically quite shy and introverted, and doesn't
make friends too easily. I could give you a lot of very valid reasons for
that, but don't think that it's any of your business, and you probably don't
have enough understanding to fathom such things anyway, so an explanation
would be a waste of time.
Do yourself a favor, and leave my wife out of your conversations in the
future, lest you be thought of as more shrewish than you already are.
