Or you could send them some sort of 'singing telegram' or even a
'strip-o-gram'. That may 'break the ice', so to speak.

The message could say something like, "O'baby, you're so hot looking, and
your lovely neighbor's owners wishes them to be at work at X o'clock and me
thinks you are disturbing their productivity with overly amped sounds. So
cool it babe before a set of singing guns come to town because my client
works on important government contracts."

Just a thought.

People like Lippard, R. Williams, Petrisko and other atheists
scream in anger and hate if TAX money is spent on Christmas Nativity Scenes
or anything else that represents the true meaning of Christmas. These
Scenes hurt no one.... Yet, take TAX dollars away from people who would
MURDER their own children for the sake of a good time in the hay and these
same people scream 'unfair'... ??? It's like they are saying people do not
need be responsible for themselves or their own actions, let government take
care of it. Abortion is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! To give advise as to it being
a way out is also WRONG! And to spend MY TAX dollars to do so is even more
WRONG.

I do not doubt that Rod has read the entire Bible. But I also do not
doubt that one can read the entire Bible, and yet miss the message entirely,
while another can start to get the picture after reading only several books
of it. "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from
the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand
them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1Cor 2:14) "Where is the
wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has
not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?" (ibid, 1:20) If one tries to
read the Bible with a predisposition against it, then I would almost advise
that person not to waste their time, because they will not likely profit
from it. (I say "almost" and "not likely" because it is not my place to say
that God COULD NOT open the eyes of one who is stubbornly blind.)

Rod: "I would say that all of the interpretations are based upon a sincere
belief in the accuracy of scripture, wouldn't you?"

No Rod, I would not. Liberalism has plagued Christianity in a big way
lately. Those who understand the Bible to be the infallible, inerrant and
authoritative Word of God are dwindling at a rapid rate. And I do not
believe that this is due to any failure of the conservative view of
Scripture to hold water. Liberalism slithers in when people want to
interject worldly views, values and intellect into Scripture. This is why
the Presbyterian Church (USA) is split over a document which, if approved,
would change that denomination's stand on morality to one that embraces
lesbianism and homosexuality; to one that encourages sexual activity outside
the bonds of marriage; to one that encourages masturbation and heavy petting
among youth and teens. (I do not exaggerate here. If you would like me to
transcribe some news articles on the subject for you, I would be more than
happy to.) This is why several Methodist and Presbyterian churches have
embraced and encouraged goddess worship and pagan puberty rites. This is
why the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America supports abortion.

No Rod, there are many interpretations of Scripture out there that make
a mockery and a sham out of the very Scripture they vainly attempt to
interpret.

We are in the times mentioned in 2 Timothy 4:3.

Did you see the picture of the Planned Parenthood sign on the front of
today's paper? It had a banner plastered in front of it that read "WE WILL
NOT BE GAGGED."

"Planned Parenthood" (from the standpoint of the organization) is an
oxymoron. They are not concerned with families (at least the unborn
children). They are not concerned with the rights of preborn individuals.
They are, and will always be, concerned only with the prevention of
parenthood, and will resort to murder of innocent lives to further that
cause.

However, I do not think it's an issue that can be judged with personal

There is nothing in the Bible that speaks out against masturbation or heavy
petting. Part of the problem is so many people go around saying the Bible
says this and the Bible says that when in reality it doesn't.

"...They are doing it [pre-marital sex, extra-marital sex, homosexual
relationships, teenage sex, etc.]...so why not give them the sanction?"

People have been murdering, stealing, lying, and raping for centuries as
well. Why not have the church sanction THOSE, too?

Ok, back to the subject. HERE is why the church should not condone such
actions: "Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone
loves the world, the love of the Father IS NOT IN HIM. For all that is in
the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful
pride of life, IS NOT FROM THE FATHER, but is from the world. And the world
is passing away, and also it's lusts; but the one who does the will of God
abides forever." (1Jn 2:15-17 NAS)

God tells His people to hate these things. [One might say: "No it doesn't.
It just tells us not to LOVE them."] In God's service, one cannot be
lukewarm. The one who tries to ride the fence between God and the love of
the things of this world will find himself cast out of the presence of God
on the Last Day ["'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I
will spit [literally: "vomit"] you out of my mouth.'" (Rev 3:16 NAS). For
God to use such repulsive imagery such as a person being vomited out of the
mouth of God must mean that this lukewarm fence-sitting worship of God AND
fleshly lusts makes God pretty sick. Even moreso than being a flat out pagan
and not using His name to justify their selfish pursuit of gratification.

God has directed His people to seperate themselves from the world and the
ways of the world to live a life that is in accordance to His will and in
harmony with His created order. That is why the "churches" that condone and
even promote those things which God specifically sets down as abominable in
His sight are not churches of God at all but rather temples of Satan.

The job of the church is not to tone down the word of God to make
Christianity "palatable" to the world. It is not to "loosen morals" so that
there are fewer empty pews. It is the job of the church to preach and teach
the Word of God; the Law, which shows us a)the way God wishes us to live our
lives and b)to show us when we fail to meet up to God's standards - and the
Gospel, which shows us that forgiveness for our sins against God - which we
can not merit for ourselves - has been merited for us through the atoning
sacrifice of Christ on Calvary. The Word of God convicts the sinner of his
sin, and also teaches the Way of Forgiveness which is by God's grace
[unmerited lovingkindness]. THAT is the primary role of the church. But the
sanctuaries of liberal puke "theology" that would just as soon toss the
Bible out in the trash as it seems to "cramp their [alternative life]style,
have turned their backs on God whilst skipping down the paths of peace, free
"love" and granola laid out for them by the Woodstock generation.

Those that love His Word and are the few sitting in a church that teaches
His true Word, are far more precious in His sight, then those that are
serving themselves in mega-churches that ignore His commands.

God does not prohibit heavy petting within the confines of the marriage
commitment. But it is most certain that He is against it outside of
marriage. For which of those, who lack the self-control to avoid getting
themselves in a petting situation, will somehow manage the self-control to
withhold once a sufficient amount of foreplay prepares the body for the
consummation of the act? Heavy petting will almost always lead to sexual
intercourse. (Either that, or a serious case of pain for the male, the
description of which starts with the word "blue.")

The Bible may not specifically spell out the words "masturbation is a
sin." But think about it. The sexual organs were created for a purpose. The
purpose is twofold. The joining of two married people (male and female) as
one, with the two bodies designed to "fit" one another, to serve as a means
of [a]procreation, and also as a means of [b]pleasure; the most profound
expression of love between two individuals.

Masturbation wrests this order out of joint (no pun intended).
It is not a means of sharing. It is a selfish act. It is out of harmony with
God's plan in that it utilizes a creation of God in a manner with which it
was not intended. If God wanted us to gratify ourselves sexually without a
marriage partner, then He would have created us all hermaphrodites. But He
didn't. Furthermore, the sexual organs are designed for the purposes
explained above. The, um... HAND, is not a sexual organ.

The cable that comes with this type monitor generally come with a standard
RCA cable connector.... at both ends. This does not work for the Commodore
or Atari type computers, just the older IBM Clones, ETC.

However, I did hunt up a cable last week when you asked this same
question, and I think I found one that would work. (pretty sure anyway)
If *YOU* were to get this monitor, I would give you the cable. I am not
selling this monitor for myself by the way... It belongs to a guy who I put
a TTL type monitor on his unit.

If you wish to SEE the monitor, call me and bring over your Atari
and we will see how it and the cable works!

From "Science and Human Values," by Jacob Bronowski:

This sequence is characteristic of science. It begins
with a set of appearances. It organizes these into laws.
And at the center of the laws it finds a knot, a point at
which several laws cross; a symbol which gives unity to the
laws themselves. Mass, time, magnetic moment, the
unconscious: we have grown up with these symbolic concepts,
so that we are startled to be told that man had once to
create them for himself. He had indeed, and he has; for
mass is not an intuition in the muscle, and time is not
bought ready-made at the watchmaker's.

Daryl, I'm not sure I caught your whole argument against petting. The key
issues to me seem to be in "defrauding" and the proper expression of sex
within marriage, not with the intended function of the rproductive organs.
The Catholic Church has ended in a precarious position on birth control by
using the intended purpose argument. Their argument is that children is the
intended purpose. This has expanded to the sole purpose. Thus, the fact
that intercourse may also be pleasurable as well asa functional for
procreation is lost to them. I argue that sex in marriage only for
pleasure is just as important as sex in marriage for making babies. One of
the important purposes of sex has to be intimacy (see "know" in Genesis).
Intimacy must also be the issue in petting. For most teens, sex detracts
from their intimacy. It will replace communication. Sex is such a strong
statement of intimacy and union, it is reserved by God for marriage where
committment and intimacy unite. Oh, for more of us to embrace God's gift as
it was intended.

On masturbation, it is not with selfishness that the problem resides. It is
only when masturbation replaces God's best that it is a problem. Jesus did
not say it was wrong to feel pleasure. He did say, however, we should not
lust after anyone who is not our spouse. Without the lust there would
probably not be much problem with the rest. A professor of Old Testament
once told me that 99% of teenage boys masturbage and the other 1% lie about
it. I have also seen lives broken by addiction to the sensation.....sad.
Keep up the good work, Daryl.
