4:My internal drive on my 1040 quit working yesterday except for really simply
5:files. I took it apart today and found that a small, square piece of metal
6:had fallen out of its place. It took me a while to find "its place" but it

Why do you object so when I simply agree with someone else? The one in
particular I'm talking about is agreeing with him that I too don't believe
God is a killing one, but one of love. Gads, man, what's wrong with that?
What is "spiritless and gutless" about it? I read all posts - if I saw
something in one of yours that I agreed with, I'd certainly voice it to you
and I have in the past too!
One thing I think you do not really understand - "everyone calls the shots
the way they see them? - no different than you do. -=*) ANN (*=-

Pastor Hindrix was a very special person all around. Many people went out of
their parish (which they were not suppose to do!) just to hear his
inspirational sermens and they were! His bible class was totally full all
the time because he seemed to be more human than most ministers - would
voice his doubts along with the rest of us. We respected him for that very
much. We ask him sometimes very crazy questions - like one women wanted to
know if it was OK to make the sign of the Cross if she felt like it. (the
Lutheran's frowned on that at the time) He simply said "what could it hurt.
You would be doing it out of respect and love for the Trinity, so why not?"
Things like that made him truly unique. However, after I was in the church
for 2 1/2 years, he decided to take another calling way back in Missouri and
I found myself resenting that very much and him too. He left, I went to
another church in my parish and only stayed a brief time and never went back
to church after that. He did play a big part in me leaving, but I would have
eventually anyway because that's about the time I starting searching other
religions, other philosphies and other ways of thinking about God. I could
not/would not go back to a church now. -=*) ANN (*=-

Good, common sense messages, Ann. If you take away someone's god they just
may end it all. Be careful people.

If two parties have sexual intercourse, and one of them is married to
another person, both parties are guilty of adultery. If neither are married,
it is called fornication.

That's true Bob. All of which could mean that women are far more
promiscuous than men, right? After all, if one woman can spread herself
around to 100 men..................golly, just think what 100 women could
accomplish!

I heard something on the Saturday morning programming on KJZZ (I'm a talk
radio nut, and with 'swap shop' on KTAR and 'car talk' on KFYI on Saturday
mornings, I get desperate.) I believe the program was called "Weekend Edi-
tion." They did a piece on the 25th anniversary of Cosmopolitan, and they
were speaking with the magazine's editor. The part that I really took to
task was when she said, in so many words, that there are more women than
men, so women, go out and find yourself a married man to sleep with, since
most of them cheat on their wives anyway, just don't fall in love.

I couldn't believe it. The big problem with this is that:

[a] She is advocating adultery, which is not only offensive to God,
but will also eventually add another divorce to the nation's
       statistics.

[b] She is taking the "everyone does it" attitude. This could be
dangerous to a weak married man (or unmarried woman) with un-
defined morals, because if 'everyone is doing it,' what could
       POSSIBLY BE WRONG WITH IT?

[c] She is advocating a practice that could potentially transfer sex-
ual diseases from the single woman to the [previously] monogamous
male, and then to his innocent wife.

This woman openly advocates a practice that can destroy the bond of marriage
on almost every possible level, not to mention the destruction of two, maybe
three lives.

If this is what Cosmopolitan stands for, excuse me if I don't put on a party
hat or eat any cake or ice cream.

at least satisfying his fantasy. -=*) ANN (*=-

P.S. I know the punishment for adultry - what's the punishment for
fornication? Two consenting adults etc????

The answer is easy.... just use Apollo and forget the rest!

Just kidding... You did not say what parameters you were using?
I find that 8, 1 and NONE work the best for most systems.

Just a note: Apollo was originally designed to be friendly to the
TRS-80 people way back when BBSing was new. Some of those features have
remained the same all these years. Remember, Apollo ran off a TRS-80 Model
ONE for several years. (Tom R. Slone)

Well, let me see, I think that's about 2 men for each woman?

Does that prove that women have no morals?

If Adam wasn't a real person (Adam is the Hebrew word for "man") and
Eve wasn't a real person, then Adam and Eve didn't really sin. If
Adam and Eve didn't really sin, was it necessary for Jesus Christ to
die ?

You can find the Governor Vote results as the NEWEST post in the
STOre room SIG. Originaly I wanted all posts in the STOre room to be in
order as things happened...GT's, Votes, etc... but some poor users can't
handle that very well... they post nasty messages... they hang up on me,
they whine! (even though the post had said it would be FOUND right there
after the VOTE was over.)

The STOre ROOM will no longer be kept in order... I will do it
B-Dog's way....

But Jesus isn't dead. He never died. He is God and God is He. Neither one
of the One ever died. They've always existed.

No one gave anything of importance up. All that happened was that Jesus
dumped his temporary physical housing.

There was no big sacrifice and billions of humans had deaths much more
horrible.

There was a guy, a few years back by the name of Joseph Doakes who poured
gasoline over himself, proclaimed that he was dying for mankinds sins and
lit it. Now that's what I would call a real sacrifice. He burnt for about
ten minutes until a group of people took pity on him. They 'wizzed'
together until the flames were out. Good ole Joe Doakes, long may his
memory live.

I feel sinless already even though I support adultery and other such fun
crimes against whatever created me. Sin is fun, even more fun than sitting
in a church pew for an hour a week. At least I don't get sleepy.
