Well, I'll be there for a couple of weeks in the middle of June. I wouldn't
mind having a GT at a restaurant in the Dupont Circle area, but I wouldn't
want to hang out at the park at night. 
 
Did anybody ever figure out what happened to the second Xmas Tree
that was planted at Tenley Circle last year?

        A 20th anniversary demonstration took place in the People's Park
yesterday.  This may be the signal of the start of the great American
Revolution.  I think the press is down playing it so as to not incite a riot
or other demonstrations in other parts of the country.  Well, all I can say
is, if this is so, I only hope that it is peaceful.  We can learn a lot
from the Chinese.
        But according to the small article, there was rioting and looting
which, to my mind, is hard to believe.  The early Flower Children NEVER
looted to my knowledge.  The only looting that took place happened in the
Ghettos of Los Angeles and Detroit, by minorities.  Perhaps the
establishment press is reporting it in such a manner as to give cause to
send troops in, as in the Gulf of Tonkin incident in the early seventies. 
In this way, if the troops blow away some demonstrators, the American public
will be better able to accept the killing of so called looters.  
        I wonder if Kent State will be the place of the next demonstration
or perhaps nothing new will happen and the matter forgotten.  -Rod
