Sheesh. I kill some time on this BBS because I was just a few minutes shy of
11pm (I think that Cliff's clock is behind) and get here to find NO NEW! 
What is wrong with you habitual late-night callers?  Don't you have anything
to say?  Huh? Well? Speak up. I'm not leaving here until you do. 
 
Now come on, you can't sit there holding your breath forever.  You are going
to have to inhale so that your lungs can replenish the oxygen in your blood.
Hey!  Stop turning blue!  You really need to breathe (or to get in from out

        I think such movies degrade professional writers and producers.
The movie portrays a natural human instinct using quit a variety of
situations to demonstrate the same 'urge'. What I wonder about is the movies
tendancy to make every sequence look as if it is something that EVERY normal
human being does.
        I hear there are movies out there that do degrade the female. Do not
think I would want to see one of them.

How about the Guardian Angels?  Are they right or wrong?  It would seem the
local police need all the help they can get.  Why are the police so set
against the GA's?  The headlines are real cute.  The GA's do a citizen
arrest and flag down the police, who in turn want to put the GA's in jail. 
It fits right in with the so called justice of today's court.  Let the
criminals go free and put the citizens in jail.

So, take a whack at it!

Well, it's like this.  The police don't want anything to do with the
Guardian Angels because they're well liked by the public and the idea of
their existence implies that the police are not doing their job.  Therefore,

Wow... reports of serious violence against the demonstrators in Tiananmen
Square.
Also, the government invoked a news blackout and pulled the plug on all of
the satellite uplinks that were in the country (hours before the violence
started)

I'm all for them. As long as they don't become 'Bronson' types and start
taking the law into their own hands. As far as the police dept. is
concerned, I can understand why they are so opposed - it's a matter of ego!
They wouldn't want to give us the impression that they need help - God
forbid! Of course, we all know the police dept. has everything under control
(HA!) If I lived in a high crime neighborhood, I'd certainly feel better

Did anyone see the article in the paper this morning re: the cartoonist
Benson? Seems one of his Mecham cartoons offended the Mormon church and
other denominations. They released him from his church duties! I saw it and
thought it was halarious. It suggested that Mecham used the Mormon church to
futher his political career. But didn't we already know this?

What about these Soloflex ads? I feel discriminated against. They guys have
to stretch around on the machines without a shirt on, while the women wear
some type of sweat top. Where's the fairness here? Thousands of women
drooling for at least 15 minutes of the Soloflex program/commercial's half
hour, and us men have to use our imagination! Either put a T-shirt on him,
or take her's off! Same with these "Body by Soloflex" posters! If you're
going to be showing male areoli, well, it's only fair, right? Down with
biased exploitation. We need EOE...Equal Opportunity Exploitation!

My all-time favorite resturaunt is the Golden Nugget Chinese Buffet, just
east of 51st Avenue on Indian School (between Merabank and Dunkin Donuts).
It is family owned, and the food is always good! Plain and fried rice,
Canton Chow Mein, Stir Fry Broccoli and Vegetables With Beef, Cabbage With
Chicken, House Chicken, Sweet And Sour Chicken, Sliced Potatoes with Beef in
Gravy, Fried Chicken, B-B-Q Chicken, and Breaded French Fries! Other
occasionals that they serve: B-B-Q Pork Strips, Breaded Fish, Breaded Sweet
Potato Slices (you MUST try these if they have them!), Deep Fried Banana
Slices, and so much more! They also have the Egg Drop Soup, with your choice
of Chow Mein noodles or Won Ton noodles (or just plain if you prefer). They
also do take out (menu items or buffet) and their prices are very
reasonable!

        I've noticed that the Phx. P.D. is looking to hire more uniformed
officers.  Funny how this comes at the same time as when the GA come into
town.  From my experiences with the Police Department, if someone steals
your bike or breaks into your house, it would be just as useful to phone
Dial an Atheist.  Same results although the DAA is somewhat more amusing.
        I like the idea of the Angels, at least thus far.  I'll just have to
wait and see as will we all.  
        Does anyone know how this group is doing in other cities around the
world?
