Well, we could always rent a car. We'd just make sure to get all the extra
coverages.
The new restaurant and gallery are near Carefree on Scottsdale Road, just
south of the Boulders resort. I'm not tending bar anymore -- I'm working in
the gallery instead.

I am losing my good graces at KMEO. My future there is questionable.
Besides, I couldn't get you equal time or unequal time for that matter.
Radio stations have funny ideas about what they air. I was doing
maintenance late one night and gave the wrong call sign. Boy, talk about
being upset! You would have thought I said a 4 letter word instead of a
call sign. Actually, the call sign was 4 letters long. Maybe I could get
you a bumper sticker instead? You could use it to cover some of the rust.
(I forgot, no rust in Arizona.)

What's good about our bodies?
* We have eyes to enjoy the color and beauty of a flower.
* We have ears to enjoy the wonderful song of a bird, or the uplifting
sound of a comforting word or a pleasant song.
* We have a nose to smell good old home cooking, the gentle fragrance of
a rose, or the fresh smell of the morning after a good rain.
* We have minds to think, to reason, to understand.
* We have hands to create, to write with, to touch with.
* We have arms to hug with.
* We have lips to smile with.
* We have bodies that can enjoy the ecstasy of lovemaking.
* We have reproductive organs that, through the ecstasy of lovemaking,
are the means that make the miracle of birth possible!
I think I came up with more good things than you did bad. So there. Plbth.

And ALL of those things won't mean one damn thing if a person gets a
wasting, painful disease like cancer. Go to a nursing home or retirement
home for the elderly - you won't see smiles or anyone hugging anybody there.
They can't even get out to smell the flowers, much less the ecstasy of love
making! Half of them wear diapers and drool. Their good old bodies gave out
on them long ago. But I will say one thing - you'd better do all those
things you stated in your last post while you can. Keep the old mind active
into old age and at least you've got something - even if your bed ridden!

Ann, I think it would be best for you to stop being a fatalist and take your
own advice. Get out there and enjoy life while you can, instead of
complaining about illnesses and diseases that you don't even have! If you
want to be miserable while you are healthy as well as later on in life, then
that's your prerogative. I know that it is terrible once you grow old (esp.
if you do get cancer later on in your years), but this is NOW. If you seem
so concerned about people who are rotting away in nursing homes, tell me;
when was the last time you took several hours out of your day to stop at a
nursing home and brighten up someone's day? I tell you, if you plan on doing
it though, you better get a cheerier outlook on life first. Otherwise, you
might depress them more than they already are.

So this is what is wrong with the printed word. Much meaning is not

Date: 03/05/89 Time: 17:06:09
Looking for a way to support a local BBS without having to charge
user-fees? Telecom Xpress, Inc. can provide you a way to support that
bulletin board, non-profit organization or church in a painless fashion!
TXI is a licensed utility company that sub-contracts out the long-
distance lines of major carriers such as AT&T and Sprint, much to their
chagrin, but with the blessings of Congress in its 1984 divestiture
rulings. Instead of spending mega-bucks on print & tv ads (how much do
you think it costs AT&T each time they show that mime ad nationally?),
TXI pays YOU and your non-profit organization a commission of 1% of the
monthly phone bills of the folks that you get to change over to TXI
"dial 1" long distance phone service.
For example, a BBS sysop signs up for TXI long distance service. That
sysop will receive 1% of the monthly phone bills of those callers that
sign up for TXI. I'm giving my BBS users the option of signing up for
TXI, or paying a yearly user fee. If the BBS caller then signs up a
friend with TXI, both the caller AND the sysop receive 1% of the
friend's monthly bill. And so on, down through 5 levels of "downline."

I can not recall her profain poem about some girl sitting on the

member and could have posted it on a sig that allowed that kind of post.
But if it had been PUBlic board, I am sure it was zapped then also.
Sandy showed it to me... that is how I knew it was profain.
Does anyone remember seeing it on this [PUB]lic board?

I have just told Mychele Nickels that she is no longer to use
Apollo. I do not wish to have her poems that give a profain message to be
plastered all over Apollo. I tried to explain that we have a special SIG
for that type post...but she spat back at me that was 'Bull'. I offered to
have her upload them to me in mail and I would put them on the COSmos SIG
for her since she could not afford $tatus membership.... but, she refused
that offer as well. Since we have a board filled with Kinder people, People
with understanding and Christians, I feel she will not fit in, and I don't
want to put up with her no longer. I don't have the patients for that kind
of crap.... Mychele Nickels is banned from Apollo...and anyother name she

Cliff, I guess you are one of those (like Mecham) that think that
"pickanniny" is a term that Blacks like to use in reference to themselves,
much less have white people refer to them as. Ok, that one out of the way,
next topic: homosexuals. I believe what the Bible has to say condemning
homosexuality. But Mecham's request to know the names of all the homosexuals
in public office serves no good purpose except to give Mecham a list of
people that he probably would have ousted out of office one way or another.
I do not condone homosexual activity at all, but Mecham's request served no
purpose except potential political blackmail.

I equate your stand against bicycles as a move towards isolation, much as I
would a stand for banning all windows as a means of bringing communities
together. Of course you are going to have people that are going to rob and
cheat and steal and lie and murder whether you rely on a car or a bike or a
water bufallo for transportation. Remember the story of Cain and Abel? And
that was during a time when there was no such thing as transportation. Your
argument strays from the initial discussion on the cleaning-up of the air.

Mecham did not even say the word "Pickanniny" or call anyone that.
He referred to a book that had the word in it...the midia did the rest. You
read the jokes and you take it as real. I may agree with Mecham... I don't
want to deal with aids carriers in government. I don't want them teaching
morals in schools to our children. I don't want them in government. What
are you going to do about it? Tell me I have no right to my opinion? That
is what you are telling Mecham....
Funny how people are... they don't want their politician caught in
bed with the opposite sex (Gary Hart for example) but don't mind if they
mess around with the same sex as Gays do. So gays in government is okay and
normal red blooded males are out!
People like you are so screwed up by the midia, that you reverse
discriminate.
Another thing... Mecham told it like he saw it. There were no
secrets, you knew what he thought. Now take the current Governor.... she
tells you what you want to hear and spends your money on everything the
Phoenix 40 wants. A real wish washy politician...and I don't like or trust
her. She also wants to remove guns from the people of Arizona with saying,
"Why do we NEED them".... well it is our right... I may ask, Why do we NEED
the freedom of Religion. Why do we NEED the right to assemble? I mean why
do we NEED any of our rights? Because we earned them with BLOOD! I will
fight for all of them.

Yes, like a nice 10 per-cent of our earnings for the running of our
government. That would be a bit more fair that nearly 40 per-cent. I get
the 40 per-cent figure from the group that each year figures out how many
