I'm glad you brought the subject here. In fact, I started a message to you
and aborted it for fear I'd end up in the Zone talking about such things.

Sure, I find 18 year olds attractive - I did at 18, why not at 56? However,
in honesty, I find some older men most attractive and that too I also did at
18! But at 18, I did not see the merits of youths as I do now - flat
bellies, hard muscles (pardon the pun), no wrinkles and to a degree,
naivete! Yes, naivete. How nice to look into a young guys eyes and NOT see
all the conquests he has made - NOT see the routine that is set - NOT see
the problems he has getting it up!

Yes, the young will ejactulate early as you mentioned - but that is why I
joked about having 3-18 year olds to one 30 year old woman. I don't think I
have to draw you a picture.

On the other hand, I truly believe that two people must have a relationship
that has lasted to have real good sex - not lust, not quickies, - just good,
close sex and that takes awhile. I believe that period lasts from 25 years
old to around 50 years old and then the male sexual drive starts waining for
what ever reason(s). I don't think that the females urges would ever wain.
But I don't know.

Regarding the young again - I do find them attractive for some of the above
reasons, but I think the best thing to do for both men and women is ....

... have a long lasting partner that is close to your age. Everything in
life works out better that way. You simply grow old together hand in hand
even though your sexuality is on a different plane. Most people in later
years do not think of sex all that much anyway. As you grow older, there are
many new things to think about. There is nothing wrong in that. There is
nothing wrong if one of the partners do not/cannot have sex anymore! As I
said, there is other things to life. Your child bearing years are over
anyway, so the urge has naturally wained! We are all hyped by the media into
thinking that if we are to be happy, we must have a throbbing, rock hard
penis, ready at a notice or a woman must drop anything and have sex with
this throbbing penis - when they are 75! It would be nice to have frequent
sex at that age, but it usually doesn't happen regardless how much it's
touted! Instead, we have a bunch of people growing older very unhappily
because they think they are 'half men and women' because they are not having
this '18 year old sex' anymore!

Anyway, these are some of my random thoughts on the subject - how about you
- anyone else? *>>> ANN O. <<<*

Very good posts. Sorry, but I was in a raunchy mood last evening.

I think that sex is made important in our society. It is packaged and sold
by large corporations. Because sex would be likened to smoking crack
cocaine, people like to do it. Because just for an instant we can feel good
and satisify mother nature too.

But natural sex cycles are often time broken by something we see or hear. I
think it is a shame that sex is the best feeling Event on the planet. I
wish that just living was but with laws crawling down our necks it is hard
to enjoy what we see.

I think that a purely mental climax is more rewarding than a physical one.
They are stronger and stay with us for as long as memory exists.

I think an eighteen year old female would be an interesting event, like
heaven, but then so is being with your mate and that has its own rewards.

You seem to be under the totally false impression that merely because
something is "in the Bible" that it's perfectly OK. Sure, premarital sex
is in the Bible. So is adultery. So is murder. So is unbelief. So are a
myriad of other sins. Just because people who are recorded in nthe Bible
committed such things does not make them right in the eyes of God. People
were people back in those days, just as they are today. Many of their
actions, just as many of ours, show nothing more than their desparate need
for a Saviour.

What the ex-judge, now retired, did, was to violate the very law he was
sworn to uphold. Any other slant on the argument pales before his hypocrisy.
Arguments for or against the addictability of marijuane, or for or against
the harm done to others, are moot when held up to the light of what he
really did. Of all public positions, the judiciary should be absolutely
above reproach of any kind. WHether he agrees with current law or not, he is
sworn to uphold it. He failed in his sworn duty, and should never be allowed
near a judges bench again.

Following is a revised announcement of the Bill Burkett Apollo Foundation
grant award for 1991. Although nothing's really changed, we've decided to
further delineate that the grantee must meet all the requirements "regular"
$tatus users must meet.

Message: 75622

Category: Bulletins
Subject: Apollo $ Grant 1/3
Date: 06/07/91 Time: 08:58:39

During 1990, I was fortunate enough to be Apollo's 150,000th caller. As a
result of that serendipitous achievement, I was awarded special Blue $tatus.
That's lifetime $tatus with no renewal fees, ever. In my case that's
proven so far to be a value of nearly $12.00!

I really do enjoy Apollo. I log onto several BBSes each week, plus BIX and
Compu$erve (my monthly CI$ bill is usually around $50). Apollo is the only
one of these I try to log onto each and every day. It's well worth $12 a
year and I'd like to continue to provide that small bit of financial
support.

So, what Cliff and I worked out is the Bill Burkett Apollo Foundation.
Using my Blue $tatus, I provide a grant each year of one year's regular
$tatus to an active, participating, non-$tatus user of Apollo. I, alone,
choose who receives this grant each year.

Message: 75623
Author: $ Bill Burkett
Category: Bulletins
Subject: Apollo $ Grant 2/3
Date: 06/07/91 Time: 08:59:04

There are only three restrictions on this grant:

     (1) The grantee must log onto Apollo regularly.

     (2) The grantee must complete all procedures normally
required of $tatus applicants, including (if he or she
normally logs on with a handle) his or her true
          identity.

     (3) Messages posted by the grantee in the non-Cosmos
areas of Apollo must meet general standards of civil
discourse. Generally speaking, this means merely
conforming to the ules. I am the sole judge of any
violations of this standard, although the SysOps, may
impose any other sanctions they feel are needed
          against the grantee.

If either of these conditions is violated, $tatus will, at my sole
discretion, be withdrawn and another non-$tatus user of the system will
receive the remainder of that year's grant. In any case, a new grantee will
be announced each year on Apollo's birthday.

and, in some small way, help increase the subscribing membership.

The second grantee will be announced on Apollo's upcoming birthday, July 31,
1991.

Some people like marijuana a lot. I didn't like it when I tried it and
didn't continue using it. I liked booze a lot more and used it heavily for
about half my life at the time I quit. I don't miss it. We all probably find
some things we like a lot and do them very heavily for a time. Some, like
tobacco and heroin, are truly addictive, while others just seem to be the
best thing that has come along for that particular person, as you said.
We could each say that we feel 'addicted' to various things at various
times, whether it's some tv show, a computer game, or a favorite food. The
mechanics of physical addiction are another matter and it is too bad that
self-serving liars can get away with blaming their behavior on false
'addiction' and that this tactic is even preferred over explaining that the
behavior involved was not a threat of any kind to anyone and should not be a
criminal matter at all.

Since the American political system has become a giant machine for
harvesting the labor and freedom of the American public, it is no surprise
that those with the power to do so do not want any competition at the polls.
If you belonged to a governing status quo with a 98% chance of retaining
office under the current system, wouldn't you want to restrict the access of
other parties and candidates to the ballot?

I agree that the judge was sworn to uphold the law and that this is a
valid expectation of judges. I brought up the subject specifically because
of his hypocrisy in claiming an 'addiction' to marijuana which somehow
excused his actions. I also pointed out that the law is also a hypocrite in
this case, as marijuana would be much less of a threat to society than
alcohol if pot were legal.

Some operations squeezed

On the other hand, petrochemical- and gasoline-marketing
operaions were squeezed. Petrochemical unis were hurt
because demand for products slowed while costs for crude
oil, the major raw material for making plastics and other
products, soared.
And gasoline-marketing divisions were unable to recover
higher costs for wholesale gasoline deliveries because of
the major oil companies' response to Bush's call to keep
retail prices in check.
Jacoboski said four of the 10 major oil companies he
analyzed should exceed profit increases of 40 percent for
the quarter, including Amerada Hess, Phillips Petroleum and
Unocal.
"Earnings might not be up as much as people think," said
George F. Friesen, and analyst in New York with Deutsche
Bank Capital, a brokerage subsidiary of the West German Bank.
"A lot of companies did respond to President Bush's call
for restraint at the pump. But some companies are doing so
well, it's going to be very difficult for them to disguise
their earnings."
