My own philosophy is antithetical. A clean, healthy vagina does not smell

Did anyone catch Monday night's episode ? The Starship Enterprise finds
a rift in space that allowed the Startship
Enterprise of 22 years ago (their time) to travel 22 years into the
future, thus altering the time-line of the current Starship Enterprise.
I found this episode interesting because I like time-travel stories. What
did you all think ? Or were you all outside fixing your air-conditioners
after the 120-degree day ?

I hate the place. Patriot's square is nice to sit and rest in - perhaps
listen to a band if it's there. The food is pretty good in the stands, but
it's certainly not worth a trip downtown with all the horriable parking and
paying through the nose - and yes, those meter maids all over the place like
vultures. All those one way streets are confusing - I even ran a red light
for the first time in many years because I was confused. I suppose if one
goes dowtown often, it's easier to get around, but I can't find a reason to
go there unless it's legal business or to find a rich lawyer to marry!!

One of the reasons we moved to Arizona is because of the other 8 months of
perfect weather - no snow shoveling - eating out on the patio sometimes in
dead of winter - clean desert air - barbecues most of the year, etc. etc.
Even southern Calif. with it's supposedly perfect weather can't compare.

I don't think Goddard succeeded because last time I was downtown, the
homeless were all over the place, including Patriot's Square. There was also
a lot of plain drunks on the side streets - sleeping or weaving around.
These were not homeless, they've just been there from many years back and
continue to stay. Lots of sleeze bars downtown! -=*) ANN (*=-

Well, let me give you some pointers, even though I'll be cutting into my own
buissness.
First, buy one of his used XT cases($15-$20), used powersupply (150W
$35-$40), new Xt motherboard ($78 bare), memory upgrade ( $50 about ),
for the begining 10 meg HD used ($60) one 360 k floppy used ($25-$30),
hercules board mono & printer port ( $18 ) new, floppy controller new ($18)
HD controller new ($38), cables used about ($15), mono monitor (TTL used
$65), and if you want to be fancy buy his 2400 baud internal modem for $78
Let me see that comes to a total of about $550 if you buy the modem, and
DON'T BARGAIN with him. Larry is a great guy, so is bill his boss, and one
of the owners, you can bargain with them. They also get new stuff in every
day, you just have to check up on it. Yes the chick is a definite fox.
Well good luck and I hope you have an XT soon, if not leave me a post and
I'll see what I can do for you.

Why aren't you out at the Rim, rescuing all of those trees that are

Thousands of trees are out there, screaming, "Rod, O Rod, blessed savior
of timber, save us. O, Rod, SAVE US!" And here you sit, vegetating in front
of your computer, while your tree brothers labor their last tree-breath in a
futile cry for their hero.
O, most omnimpotent Rod, thou shouldest be ashamed of thyself.

Since I scored real high on my tests, the recomended I train as a computer
information systems analist, an exstremly lucrative field from what I
understand. They told me I could go to any school I wanted for up to 4
years, and the VA would foot the total bill. They gave me two options for
school, and since my head isn't on strait, I'm asking advice from anybody I
know. The 2 most popular plans they offered me are:
1 year at GCC and then a transfer to ASU end result would be a bacholors in
science, or
3 years at DeVry were I'd get training in exactly the field I want, end
result again a bacholors in science.
I hear DeVry is one of the best schools around for that is that true?

I'm more of a science fiction fanatic than a trekkie. I enjoy good SF, and
I think that STNG is actually a cut above the old series in terms of its
level-headedness. (Perhaps that difference is manifested in the difference
between Jean Luc and Captain Kirk.) My favorite Science Fiction movie is
2001, which I have seen many, many times.

Subject: Dean/hair
Date: 06/26/90 Time: 15:30:21
I'll take hair. And I do not see how a rather hairy body would be a
disadvantage to someone in space or under the water.
I have a friend who decided to shave his head at the beginning of a heat
wave a few years back. Boy, was he sorry. The poor fellow had to wear a
hat until his hair grew long enough to protect him from the rays. It is
very important to keep the head cool in the summer as it is to keep it warm
in the winter.
Now man, in his ignorance has given up this natural insulation on his body
and we all have to pay the price. You mention that because we have given
it up that we can now venture to places where before we couldn't. This is
not so. Clothing is uncomfortable to say the least. There is no feeling
so grand as being in one's birthday suit. Ah, the freedom.
In the summer the hairy critters shed just as we would. Mother Nature gave
the human animal hair but we elected to take it away by wearing covering
over our bodies. It isn't nice to fool her.
Now we pack huge cases with body covering and each garment takes much power
and effort to care for it plus it must be replaced often. Go figure.
We may see each other later,
Rod

I'm not so sure about that. Several years ago I read a semi-technical book
on rotating black holes. A massive black hole rotating in space-time could
provide a "gateway" to somewhere else-when, according to the mathematics
of a rotating black hole. The math wasn't included, but there is no
theoretical reason why a rotating black hole couldn't be used.

I am not arguing against global warming. On the other hand, one does not
draw conclusions about the behavior of a system from local phenomena. I

I have never maintained that there is no essential difference between man
and other animals. There are essential differences between any two species,
otherwise, they would not be classified as different species. There are
even essential differences between the way we as a species think (if I might
generalize to an absurd extent) and the way any other animal species thinks.
You are attacking a straw man. I have only maintained that your assertion
that abstract thought is unique to mankind, is demonstratably false. I have
given a number of examples, if only of a general or extrapolatory nature.
Don't trifle with me sonny boy; of course you compared me to Hitler. I
quote from your message #66898:
"However, I might point out that your argument is a variation on
Nietzsche's, THE ONE HITLER USED TO DECLARE UEBERMENSCH, OR THE MASTER
RACE." (my capitals)
What could be less ambiguous?
Curious you should mention Gilbert Chesterton. I have just discovered him,
having read "The Man Who Was Thursday." I have also purchased "The Club Of
Queer Trades", "Four Faultless Felons", and "The Paradoxes Of Mr. Pond". I
am not interested in his Father Brown mysteries. Have you read Dunsany?

I fail to comprehend what weight the concept of rights carries, if not the
abstract notion which you disdain. I can proclaim any rights I wish. You
can deny any rights I proclaim. If humans create rights by mutual agreement
as to their truth and inviolate nature, whither rights when such agreement
does not exist? If a despot does not agree with your right to bear arms,
and has the power to enforce his view of your rights, does this mean that
your rights are not being violated when his army breaks into and searches
your house and summarily executes you and your family as troublemakers? What
about the rights of the idiot? The rights of the young and the rights of
the senile? The rights of the mad? These individuals may well lack the
ability to craft or comprehend the rights you conceive of. As I said,
rights are axiomatic. Their validity stems from moral principle, not from
any arbitrary faculty such as the capacity for abstract thought. As for
sources I can recommend, let me begin with any standard college text on
psychology, to whit, the section on cognitive psychology. I can also
suggest the studies of Wolfgang Kohler, a German Gestalt psychologist, and
those of Albert Bandura, a Stanford University cognitive psychologist. Also
some work by Harry Harlow, of the University of Wisconsin. One can get an
introduction to these studies through "Psychology, an introduction" (second
edition)by Benjamin B. Lahey in the section entitled Learning and Cognition.
I suggest a library. These studies support my points, and are by no means
controversial. They are too long to post. Might I also suggest everyday
observation? If animals do not act the way you would expect them to if they
possessed rational faculties, perhaps your expectations or observations are
