It's doing pretty well. I can drive it whenever and wherever I feel like
without it breaking down and it looks better all the time. Until last night
anyway. I was over at a friend's house using his air buffer to polish it,
when his big, heavy, portable light fell over and hit the passenger side
door. I did the touchup paint this morning and it isn't so bad, but it hit
hard enough to leave a noticable impression. The whole car would have to be
blocked out and repainted to be perfect anyway, so it's not as sickening as
it would be if it were show-ready or something.
Thanks for asking.

Now this DOES belong in the puter SIG. Sigh.
It depends on what you mean by "multimedia tools." I use the Amiga's
graphics capabilities all the time in video projects. But I've not used its
audio facilities much at all. Haven't needed them.

Michael, according to the R&G "favored non-violent, humanistic dramas
looking at life, death, family and calamity." The forces of violence and
intolerance rejoice.

Now you resort to name calling? It must be terrible to be so hard up for
anything decent to say that you have to stoop to that. Of course, for you it
may not be stooping at all. Water seeks it's own level. So do some other
things.

Since I am not a Roman Catholic, I prefer to see an empty cross to remind
me both of Christ's suffering AND the fact of His resurrection. However, the
crucifix is a sacred symbol to many of my Catholic friends, and to display
it in succh a manner as did this so-called "artist", is, to say the least,
an affront and an insult to anyone who so believes, and as such is
sacreligious. Such displays go far beyond the bonds of decency and/or the
limits of anything that can be called "art". At least in my opinion.

You didn't say caller-id would be a cure-all, using that term. You did
state that it would practically eliminate phone harassement, etc. I simply
disagree that it will work as claimed. I don't know where I was supposed to
find out that a call from a phone booth would be so labeled, since it was
not in the uploaded text file. It would have to be seen on the system
actually installed here to be a matter of fact and then the question
remains, "What good does that do?" Are you going to reject all calls from
phone booths on the bet that it is not Sandy calling to say her car broke
down, or some other legitimate and important call? I would not make that
bet.
Again, the fact that my phone number is in the book, and given by me to
many people, does not change the fact that with caller-id it will be given
to people who do not get it now. If in fact I can block this at no cost to
myself then I will have no complaint about the system. Especially if I can
fix it so it is blocked by default and only sent when I am trying to reach
somebody who wouldn't answer without it and is worth the trouble of sending
it to.
Yes, I do think Mike Carter should have no rights regarding the phone
system, but that applies only in his specific case. (Just kidding Mike)

Actually, it makes not too much difference what the weather is as far as
making sun tea is concerned - even a cloudy day - in the case of England - a
foggy day?! Ha It would just take longer is all.
I assume you have been to see the London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, right?
I will admit the the bridge is impressive. *>>> ANN O. <<<*

You mentioned in one of your posts about a difference between a cross and a
crucifix ... that's new to me. I did not know they were different and that
some religions had them plain and other's had Jesus on them??! Is it only
the Catholics that have Jesus on them? Those were the one's I was raised
with and assumed ......!! Do you think it is bad or good to have Him on the
cross? Why did you say you preferred the plain one? I'm curious - live and
learn! *>>> ANN O. <<<*
This is not trying to start any religious war again - I really didn't know
there was a difference or a preference!
Regardless, which one repels the Vampire - a crucifix or a cross! Heh Heh .
I've got to be prepared you know.

I'm trying to encourage non-$tatus users aware of the grant and to get
involved in conversations.
It'll appear one more time (around the 15th) before I make the 1991 award
announcement.
Right now I have no idea who might win. Last July there were several worthy
contenders, but not this year.
(Rod, you needn't nominate Mary Richards again.)

I deliberately did not answer Mr. Savage's last post hoping that would cause
the chain to die down. I will not apologize because I have nothing to
apologize for. Put me in the Phantom Zone if you will, but I object. I am
concerned that this has reached the stage of silliness. I do most of my
jibing in good humor. I suspect that Paul does too. (witness his "insult" to
Ann) Let it die.
