Well, Cliff, you're about to hear it from someone else.
I was raised as a Baptist, a Conservative Baptist at that,
and there was no mistaking the message: You don't believe, you
burn. That's not what turned me off of religion, though.
That happened when I got a taste of the real world, probably
late in grade school, and became very disillusioned when I found
non-Baptists, even non-Christians, were not all evil. Uncovering
the simple truth that even if a person danced, went to the
movies, even smoked or drank, didn't make them a disciple of the
Devil caused me to doubt everything I'd been taught over the
years about how the world worked.
I'm raising my sons without God or a church (My oldest even
refused to stick around at a Boy Scout campout for their simple,
ecumenical Sunday morning service. I encouraged him to stay out
of simple courtesy; he was adamant) and, if I do say so myself,
they're turning out just fine.

Can't believe that I am the first one to log in a post-GT message!
Anyway, it was good seeing y'all again. I'm almost embarrassed to admit
that there were a couple that I had a tough time remembering, but I guess
that goes with the territory. (The territory being holding on to 39 as long
as I have.)
Anyway, we had a good time, at least after we got out from in front of the
idiot box. (That we could have done at home.) Thanks to Cliff and Sandy for
being great hosts. Hope to see you all at the next GT. And so to bed.

Date: 07/29/90 Time: 00:21:02
I recall a story from my high-school English teacher regarding a
computer, a disk drive, and a few poor souls who were so dredged down in
logic that they lost their sense of humor.
During a college class that he was taking, the disk drive on the
computer he was using, gave out. After several layman attempts to fix it
(rapping on the front of the drive, knocking it around a bit), he hit upon a
humorous plan.
He returned later to the computer room with a spoon and a bottle of
Pepto Bismol. He set both of them beside the computer, and attached a note
to the drive that read:
PLEASE GIVE 2 TBSP. EVERY FOUR HOURS
Several days later, he discovered that the disk drive had been taken
into the shop. Apparently, several computer students who had read the sign,
shrugged, and poured two tablespoons into the slot of the disk drive. (This
occured more than once during that period of time.) Needless to say, the
drive was all but totalled.
What was left as a bit of humor for the next few frustrated students
became yet another instruction to be executed.

Do you remember a song off the "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album by

Maybe we could have the show's producers adopt that as the Roseanne's

Sort of a blue-black.... As I was bringing it in, and thinking how nice to

And I thought the GT was tonight. Sorry.
All kidding aside I found myself involved in this play with me as a clown.
I guess I was the anti-clown, the evil clown as I made my appearance during
Zak Woodruff's "I hate you" song.
Actually I missed my cue as I was supposed to come out for the first song of
the Hernia Retraction Accordion Group.
But I was at your GT in spirit. I was that big cloud of black smoke that
passed over the party in the rear yard. And you probably thought it was
just some pollution from a passing airplane. No, it was I.
And Sandi, I guess you don't read all of the messages because one of the
users asked if you were going to attend the GT, about a week ago.
Actually though, Sandi, Todd Reese and I were out partying.
Sorry I missed it but I did have a REAL good time and both Jonathon and
Melody, my children stayed with me the entire time, except when I was on
stage. I made a good clown and managed to entertain all of the folks
backstage with my philosophy.
Hope to make the next one unless it happens to be the night I receive my
academy award unless I'm fired for missing my cue.

My son Jonathon dropped out of the Cub Scouts because of their stupid
prayers.
And last night, after some conversation on great philosophical issues
with the group, we came up with the fact that telling a child that a place
of eternal punishments exists is akin to criminal child abuse and that who
ever spreads this type of garbage SHOULD be committed to a mental
institution for treatment. A consensus of opinion, to be sure.

:o no... Park/ Picnic Get Together... or in your case with all the young
:kids... Pee Pee Get Together
:
:That would have to be in the fall and it is a good idea. I suspect that it
:will come about just as the others did. We have an occasional party, not
:very often and when we do, an half hour before it is due to start I get
:something I would describe as Stage Fright. Did you?
:
:You bet I did... Sandy had to make me a Pink Grass Hopper to calm me down.
:
:Yes, I understand....I want to vanish or go hide. I guess it is a phobia
:even though my common sense tells me that everything will be okay. I got a
:little stage fright last night but not much because I tried not to think

:was a part of the enjoyment.
:
:hahahah I have stage fright as well... I do understand!
:
:So, is Sandi Marlin a real person?
:
:I am not sure...yet.... I hope so... we need new blood!
:
:Yes, and it's a good thing that she is 2400 BAUD because that leaves me out.
:Who do you think will win the $tatus?
:
:Bill told me his top few choises...but I can't tell... It really is up to

:
:But there are only three people, .Jeff L., Hans and Sandi, right?
:
:there was another...but he has vanished... but other then that, you are

:Nice to make users feel good.... That has to be up to you... I know
:Westfall has no money...and it is nice that you help him even if he is a
:Christian... I always laugh at that as the two of you go at each other..
:But, as Westfall would say... The Lord provides in strange ways... and
:coming though you has got to be the strangest!
:
:Well part of it was selfish because without Westfall the board would be
:lacking in a certain way. I know he is struggeling and his idea for a
:slogan was valid, for sure. And besides my job is not to make people feel
:good after they have status, I try to make their flesh crawl.
:
:hahahahahahhahaha You do a good Job Rod, the Lord will reward you!
:
:For sure...at least I won't have to spend forever in blistering heat and
:that is what I am counting on. When I was little and still unformatted I
:was told by these big dudes in black suits and ties that if I screwed up
:that I would burn in a torture chamber that was created especially for bad
:people by an all loving God. Sure.
:
:You are a LockSmith in Phoenix...aren't you? There is your HELL!
:
:Yes and Paulsy went through it as a mailman in a thinwalled Jeep for
:something like 20 years. He knows what hell is like.
:
:yes... and now he will go onto better things some day... you on the other
:hand, have to do it over again ...and this time you will be a locksmith in
:Buckeye
:
:Jesus as all carpenters back then were locksmiths. That was their trade but
:if Jesus were around today he would be a locksmith because locks represent
:the security of society and whoever has them outwitted or is able to go
:through them with little trouble is a master. I am not sure what I am
:telling you but if Jesus was here today he would be put to death by the
:Christians because what he would be saying would be knocked donw by all

:
:
:Not all churches... We do not believe in HELL (eccept where we are now)..
:the Christians you know must be the minority... I never heard such things

:
:What type of lock is it, and what brand?
:
: Let me look... hang on
:
:I am glad that you do not hold that there is an eternal hell, very pleased
:because that puts you in a better place in your mind that you don't have to
:deal with that thought, "Am I good enough or will I burn forever", but some
:factions do believe this and that is whom I am appealing to. Once I chip
:this cornerstone of thier belief then I have won something that needs, by
:all thinking people to be won.
:
:Then you should say BAPTISTS...and not say 'ALL CHRISTIANS'... I do not

Ms. Marlin was probably keeping John Cummings company.

I read all of the old messages at the GT. I saw several people doing the
same. Perhaps that explains the few callers.

I think I'll write a play...a symbolic religious play, where each of you
dresses up as a clown; Paul can represent God, and you, Satan. There will
be a lot of pie throwing. The apocalypse will be symbolized by a bunch of
midgets tumbling out of a little car.

RE: "You can never learn enough and nobody can take it away from you."
Unless, of course, you get Alzheimers, have a car accident which results in
brain damage, or have somebody surgically fiddle with your memory.

She's as guilty as sin. Her very existence is a mischief.

This came directly from his mouth. Trust me, I had him for three years.
Lying was not one of his traits.

The first day the Mother does not have milk but a substance that will
immunize the baby for the first six months of its life. The breasts have to
be prodded and sucked on in order to start the flow.
In natural childbirth, for the first baby, it is recommended that the mother
use a cloth to pull on her nipples in order to make the babies sucking not
hurt as much. It takes a few weeks to get used to it.
I wish her luck.

And I wanted to meet you too. Many things were happening that prevented me
from coming even though I was looking forward to the GT.
But did you see the video of past Apollo Gt's?
I think Paul Savage said a special prayer that kept me away.

I wanted to go to the GT but this fall we will have another and it can be in
a nice park. And the kiddies can come. Maybe we can have it around
Halloween.
You will able to recognize my kiddies from their Satanic outfits. You will
recognize me because I look like the Devil.
Now if only we can get Nick to come and be the Chef. That would be very
special, indeed.

In order to save me a lot of time would you people who are of the religious
nature please answer the following questions.
I do not believe in an eternal hell.
I do believe in an eternal hell even though God does not
put anyone there because they put themselves there.
I would appreciate your comments.
