Re: your post #80776 ... thats true. One time we wanted to withdraw $10,000
from the bank in cash and they acted like I was a crook and warned me
several times what a dangerous thing it was for me to do. Then after they
finally counted it out and gave it to me, they tell me they had to report it
to the IRS and I ask why, and the lady told me because that's how the keep
an eye on drug pushers et al. She claimed that if I had withdrawn only
$9,999, she wouldn't have to report it. I think that's changed now to a
lower figure. She also ask me several times what I intended to do with the
money and I evaded the subject. She wanted me to put in writing what I was
going to do with it - for the IRS - said it wasn't the law but it looked
'good' - 'sincere'?? to the boys at the IRS. I refused and told her that we
were taking the money to Vegas and blowing it! Several weeks later, we put
the money back and I went through a simular hassel - only this time, they
wanted to know where we got it. I flat told them it wasn't their business.

Good for you!  You mentioned that experience before, and it is very common
these days.  I also read, recently, that over the Christmas season the IRS
was "keeping an eye on" retail outlets, looking for sales of big ticket
items so they could investigate the source of the money used to buy those
items.  Talk about an invasion of privacy!  It is criminal.  But then, that
is to be expected; the IRS is by nature and by law a criminal organization.

Hey, Merry Christmas everyone!
Just happened to be up in town for the holidays (given that 50% of my living
relatives are around here somewhere) and to check out a job opportunity in
Scottsdale(after graduation, of course).
Well, I've survived my first semester at "the other place" and I have
another year to go in that hellhole of a burg down there.
Anyway, I hope everyone's year has been great and that 1992 will just be an
improvement...

People have been prosecuted for taking out less then $10,000 at a time but
that added up to $10,000 or more over a short period.  One guy was convicted
of "Structuring" (that's the legal term) for doing that.  Even though he did
absolutely nothing illegal to get the money, or with the money, or to the
money, the mere fact that he *appeared* to be structuring resulted in his
arrest.  And he was convicted.  How they could possibly convict him is
beyond me but he was since, I suppose, he technically *had* structured even
if that was not his intent.

Sorry Paul, but your Jesus has nothing whatsoever to do with this season. 
The Sun is coming back, not the Son.  That date for the birth of your
saviour was picked at random, nothing more.  Easter season is another day
that was usurped by Jesus.  It is the season when the shoots are coming out
of the ground, Spring Festival.  People, at least in my environment, no
longer beat on a drum to entice the Sun to return.  We know better.

The whole evolution of religion is, in my humble opinion, evil.
