1:Yeah, I'll eat you out. A meat grinder sounds like a good tool to use for
 2:the job.
 3:
 4:Speaking of jobs, I had a Dodge D-150 P.U. with the X121 keyway. First I
5:tried to pull the ign. plug with a pick but that didn't work so I started
6:impressioning it getting NO marks (and the doors I was told were different).
 7:
8:I went through several blanks, both sides with no luck so I thought I would
9:pull the ignition since I had lots of time with no waiting calls.
10:
11:I took the shroud off and determined it was the "4 drift pin model" and also
12:the wheel had to come off because screws through the turn signal helped
13:hold it on. FUN.
14:
15:Anyhoo......the damn fucking horn ring screws would not, would not, (2)
16:budge at all. I even put a punch on one and beat the cocksucker half to
17:death with no results. I tried every phillips screwdriver I had, nada. So,
18:I decided to drill them out...but decided to give the plug another chance to
19:come out. I had the electrical plug out and when I was 'raking for the
20:retainer' I pushed on the tailpiece shaft, behind the elec. plug and presto
21:the fucker pushed out enough for me to rake it the rest of the way, broken
22:wafer and all. By the way, it would had initially helped me when I started
23:the job if I had looked for 'impression marks' on the correct side of the
24:blank. What a dumb fucker. -Me

Are you saying that your car from the 60's doesn't pollute more than current
vehicles?

NO! But when something goes wrong with the new cars, they are more
difficult to fix. My Cuda passes the tests VERY well... (last time I took
it just because I wanted to)

Rod's statement that it would take a thousand years ...

There are MANY things that pollute more then cars...

On the FILm SIG you mention "Thank God they are stopping at VI"

Why? If you don't like the movies, then don't go... No one is
dragging you by your 'weenie', are they?

I have all the released Star Trek movies on LASER disk, and I
really enjoy them. I have not seen VI so far as I am a little low on funds,
but hope to see it sometime after the holidays.

We ARE currently watching all the older movies in order of release
to get ready for VI. Last night we watched IV 'the Voyage Home' (the one
with the whales).

TRIVIA.. can you name the actress who played 'SAAVIK' in ST II
and who played it in ST III & IV?

Actually, gold has been stable in price for the last several years. My aunt,
who is a contrary indicator bought gold a $800 an ounce --- the very top of
the gold bubble.

I don't have any problem with this.

I am not convinced of this.

Ergo, I don't buy this.

You're asking us to leap again. :) The only substantiation you present for
this claim is the statement itself. Not very convincing.

The leap of faith that is required is to assume that because Keynes
postulated a method by which "governments can confiscate, secretly and
unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens," he advocated
it. It's not really a leap at all if you're inclined to believe it, as you
are. But it does require quite a leap on the part of an audience of
"non-believers."

I think it would be similar to quoting me as saying, "The Justices of the
Supreme Court are a bunch of fools who don't deserve to be making decisions
for the rest of us," then, when one of the Justices is assassinated,
fingering me as a suspect in the shooting.

The (?) in the second set is because some hard core Atheists do not
call the TREE a 'Christmas Tree' but call it by other names.. like maybe a
Solstices Tree. To try and get these users to vote, I put the (?) to leave
what they call the tree open... otherwise they may take offense and NOT
[V]ote.

In the top part of the question, I use the words "Christmas tree" as
most Christians except this name and are not bitter like most atheists
over wording.

is just around the corner. (bitter?) We have a Solstice tree. It is an
old tradition that goes back much farther than any religious holiday.

Have a happy.

You sound bitter.

I thought there were many Christians who refuse to "celebrate" Christmas
with trees, gifts, Santa, etc.

Rod: Thanks. And no, I don't advocate a gold standard (or a tungsten
standard!)

Cliff: re: "I don't see where gold has gone up in value; I see where the
greenback has gone down."

I'm not sure I buy this. In the early 1970s, digital calculators cost
hundreds of dollars. Now, you can buy them at a swap meet for a buck a
piece, and they're of better quality. Does this mean that the value of
of digital calculators hasn't gone down, but that the value of the greenback
has increased? I guess what I'm driving at is that price is influenced by
all kinds of things. What basis is there for picking an arbitrary date in
U.S. history, and choosing gold's price, in U.S. dollars, based on that, and
then using that as some kind of absolute standard?
