I used to have a message base similar to this on the BBS that I used to run.
Caused a lot of strain and unpleasantness among those who "had it" and those
who "didn't." I sure hope this doesn't happen here.

Ann, I will gladly give you reference to the RGB SIG.  The problem is, Cliff
said that the people who where giving reference's had to belong to the SIG. 
To date, we only know of two people who belong to that SIG, Cliff and Sandy.
Cliff said that the references couldn't be from a SYSOP, of any kind.

      After reading the first book of the New Testament I thought I
had found the way.  I took the first four stories and understood them
as a whole.  In no way did I come up with the meaning that Jesus
wanted or needed to be worshipped.  In fact there was no one in those
pages who wanted or needed to be served, save for a few of the local
rulers.  People washed Jesus' feet, he washed theirs.  Asked point
blank if he were the son of God, he replied, "Are we not all sons of
the Father."  
      I felt a kinship with all inhabitants of this planet.  I
understood the messages, "Love one another, Do good to those who hate
you, turn the other cheek, judge not, lest you be judged, by the
measure you judge, you shall be judged, if you are angry in your heart
with a brother and go to bed with this anger, you will be called up
that night to account for this.  
      I, unlike others who I would later meet, took the story of Jesus
in the context of a simple brother of the universe who imparted a
message to earthlings.  There was no mention of worship or He being
better than others.  It was simply that a brother who had more
knowledge, who had managed to overcome some pretty tough obstacles had
done a deed by sharing with the less fortunate so that they may also
rise above the ignorance.  There was never any, I am better than you
therefore you shall serve and worship me.  This is the problem with
religion today.  People are lost like ignorant sheep.

      If there were indeed a creator then it would most definitely be
like a father, no more, no less.  I could say to my dad.....hey, you
eat shit, pop.  No problem.  This is not what it is about.  
      I went out into the world with my new found knowledge and
everywhere I ran into another so-called Christian, a church-bred
variety, all I would hear were these stupid, long drawn out prayers.
      Prayers, fuck....who in the hell is ignorant enough to even say
one.  Does it matter?  Fuck no!
      The story of Jesus gives humans guide lines on living, nothing
more.  There is absolutely NO reason for religions or churches.  If
people followed the basic precepts that were written in the Babel then
each would be a kin.  FUCK GOD, FUCK JESUS.  
      What goes on today in this world scares me.  People are so hung
up on going to church to listen to some asshole give his meanings to
the same old tired story.  BURN THE BABEL!
      Most people in this country list their religion as
Christian....most people in this country are bigots and thieves. 
      I treat people as I would want them to treat me.  I know that
everyone I meet is my brother or sister.....no doubt.
      THAT IS ALL THAT IS NECESSARY.  FUCK GOD!
