Yeah, the pee wee thing even got on McGlaflin last night. Pretty weird...
Hey, your comment on the $tatus sig is fit for a button, I'll say.

Gee, I do believe scientists thru the use of very expensive telescopes are
seeing the creation of world's far out into space. Since you can't come up
with my/how god was created, this is as far as I have to go. And yes, I
believe there must be some starting point for domething. And it sure aint
god. That's the most laughable story I have heard yet.... God had to be
created from something someplace. But then again I don't expect you to be
able to understand that.

Hmmm.. well, I never said I know where the dust of the universe came from.
But it had to come from some place. Perhaps some day scientists will be
able to explain to us where it did. Hmmmm... "Matter can neither be created
nor destroyed" I think you missed the point. The process is circular.
Something (animal/human/whatever, yes I am being general here) is created,
lives out it's existance, dies/is destroyed and is returned to the earth to
begin a new process for something else all over...
You missed my point entirely about something from nothing. I stated that
there must be a starting point to everythying. God simply start to exist as
a human form from nothing.... Prove that he did....After all, the bible says
we are created in his image...... Show me how!

No, it would just prove that the Carbon-14 method of dating is wholly
unreliable, and that placing any trust in it's resultant dates is based
wholly on faith. If you asked someone to guess your age, and that person
came back with three answers - one million, seven million, and
three-point-five million, would you place any trust in their ability to
guess ANYONE's age correctly?

Rod, are you ever capable of making your point without having to resort
to name-calling and mudslinging first? First you have to label the
opposition as "fanatics" before you can express your OPINION that their view
of the age of the earth is "ridiculous."
And then your hatred of Christians who are bold enough to take a stand
and defend their belief in the Bible, by suggesting that I am some sort of
blood-thirsty, Inquisition-minded maniac. Of course, that is always the
last resort of someone whose arguments do not have a leg to stand on if they
were presented with any sort of real integrity.
Of course, I certainly will not find it surprising if Ann and Roger
respond with, "Good post, Rod." We all know that this is not a matter of
serious discussion. It all seems to be a matter of how many cats you can
get to sit in your lap and purr while you stroke them.

Can you believe that McLaughlin had a segment on Pee Wee Herman? Most
agreed that the work of the *three* policemen was pretty inane. I mean, as
for Mike C's question about voilence, YES, why aren't these cops working on
something more important? And also, if the people of Sarasota don't want
that sort of thing happening, take down the xxx theatre, instead of
arresting people for going and watching the films.
By the way, the paper mentioned that the castle boutique has two of the
three movies that were viewed that night. Nurse Nancy and Catalina Five-O
Tiger Shark.

Good points. I would reckon that those cops who are into porn bring about a
division that investigates it. That way, everyone has fun. It's much too
scary trying to solve the murder cases. The, the porn boys and girls, leave
that to those who are more manly.

Good posts, one in all. Or should that be all for one and one for all?
People's addictions should be seperated from the objects they choose to be
addicted to. And I'd argue about somone who said that if your sex life is
good, you don't "need" porn. I don't think anyone "needs" porn but it might
be enjoyable once in a while. As for Gordon's comment about being able to
make up better stories in his head, BRAVO! That is why I started writing my
stories. I didn't like the porn that was available and neither do a lot of
other people.

If y you think that there was no porn around when you were a kid, you must
have led a sheltered life! It may not have been as blatant as it is today,
but it was there. It took the form of little 8 page "comic" books, still
photos, sexually explicit stories and some rather primitive, poorly y made
movies, but it was definitely available if you knew where to look. Just as
any 8th grader at the time!

This seems to be a fairly busy topic: I may have to take you all on.
First, Peter, even allowing for 'addictive personalities', you
cannot ignore the medium. Cocaine, heroin, and nicotine are addictive
substances. There may be people who are immune or resistant, but they
are a definite minority.
Alcohol is harder to call: there seem to be both biological and
psychological factors involved. There is no basis for a physical
addiction to pornography, but there are psychological factors. I
dare say that there are more people addicted to pornography than to
reading the telephone directory or the Federal budget. (Even if the
Federal budget IS considered obscene.)
About people being led into violence by watching or reading
pornography; I think you will find that most people convicted of sex
crimes are involved in pornography.
Bill, I tried calling the Phoenix PD to find what they would say
about that.... but their weekend skeleton staff was too busy to even
answer that kind of question. I don't get the impression that their
problems with rapists and child molesters are 'hatched' in order
to get more money for the department.

These all have fairly long llists of BBS's somwhere on the system:
Chalkboard and a download file named VICSLIST on Carolcom's seem to have

With boards going up and down weekly at least, I doubt that any list will
