Didn`t someone just post a study showing that men that hate cats are unsure
of their manhood?

Too few people are concerned with the environment today, but, thankfully,
there are some, and even a few in the right places.
Have you seen recently that the city of Phoenix is experimenting, on a
limited scale, with separation of garbage and recyclable trash? The
surprising part is that the people in the experimental areas are responding
very positively too the program, and are separating their trash and placing
the recyclable stuff in separate containers. These containers are then
picked up on a regular basis, apart from the regular garbage collection.
Also, Basha's is now using photodegradable plastic bags, ones that will
deteriorate in the sun. Since the cost is minimal, (2 1/2 cents a bag, as
opposed to 5 cents for the regular plastic), I wouldn't be surprised to see
the rest of the markets follow suit. Then all that would need to be done is
for the city to leave them in the sun for a while and let the process take
it's course, rather than bury the stuff the moment it hits the landfill.
One of these days, I'm sure that someone will come along with a
biodegradable plastic. After all, it has an oil base. It shouldn't be too
hard, should it?
I'm with you on this one. We have to leave something for our kids and
grandchildren to live in. Or on.

No Bob, we're not talking about the Irish (although the same principle wold
apply). We are talking about Shiite Muslims, who consider any move against
Israel, or the great Satan, America, a mission from Allah.
The Muslim religion, as do most religions, teaches love and peace. It's
just that those who claim to follow it have strange ways of demonstrating
their faith. Ways like kidnapping and hanging hostages in the name of Allah.

Of course you're right - it is people who use free enterprise that destroy
the environment. Only the home sapians can take something good and totally
make it bad. If we only believed in moderation! -=*) ANN (*=-

That's good news Paul. Yes, we should come up with bio-degradable plastic or
something that will takes it's place. In most stores, you have a choice of
plastic or paper - but then paper is such a waste too. Of course, at least
these can be taken back to the store and re-used a couple of times, where
plastic seems to be no good after one use.
I read a small article this morning in the paper that was so ridiculous it's
hard to believe. It is regarding lunch pails - which all use to be metal and
now they, by law are all plastic. Why you ask? Because a decade ago, a
mother filed suit in Florida to get them banned because her son was hit in
the head with a metal one! No matter that a metal one is bio-degradable eh?
No matter that you can hit a kid in the head with a plastic one and knock
his brains out too. Can you imagine how long a plastic lunch box would sit
in the ground? The article went on to say that the last steel version
featuring Rambo, was pressed in 1987, phasing out the metal models.
BTW - the woman won the case. -=*) ANN (*=-

Even the production of "biodegradeable plastic" generates ozone-destroying
CFCs and consumes petroleum.

If you want to see some old cars that were made back in the days when cars
were really cars, come on out to Maryvale Mall this Friday, Saturday, or
Sunday and see the display of Model A Fords by Phoenix Model A Club. Also a
couple of 1932 Fords (Model B and V8, a Model T, and just for fun, a 1934
John Deere Tractor, all restored)

For the IBM and clone. Springboards 'Certificate Maker' 5 1/4 disks.
This is the latest release allowing it to be used with even HP LASER Jet
printers...as well as all popular dot-matrix printers.

I needed the LASER driver, so I bought a newer one so I could update mine.
I added the driver to mine and am selling the new one for only $20.00, this
includes manual, registration card and stickers... NOTHING missing!

Leave me mail or give a call (843-3346) Cliff

Oh sure, blame the U.S. and Israel for the terrorists' acts. That's is the
typical response of one who fails to see that every individual is
responsible for their own acts, and must be held accountable for their
consequences.

Aside from your disinformation concerning Israel and the U.S., since when is
anyone justified kidnapping and killing innocents, even if they claim they
have been wronged? Somewhat twisted logic, but what else to expect,
considering the source. Next you'll declare that, since American Indians
have valid grievances against past acts of the U.S. government and its
citizens, that it's OK for a terrorist to grab innocent hostages and demand
that all non-Indians vacate the North-American continent, or else. Sure!

Yeah, I often wonder about our local PBS station, Channel 8. The
disinformation they feed us is most probably from some Communist dupe. I
guess I won't be telling you what one of their shows relayed about the CIA
and a well known South American Country. It's probably just lies, lies and
more lies. Thanks for the tipoff. -Rod

The human body is biodegradable however most traditionalists prefer
to contain the corpse in metal coffins after the body is filled with
a gross liquid. We is smart, yes we humans is.
