Would anyone care to debate whether or not God exists? I am undecided on
the matter myself and would like to hear various arguments so that I might
make up my mind. Once that question has been resolved, perhaps we could
address the issue of abortion, which I find most troubling.

1) The Bible is the Truth, because it was inspired by God.
2) The Bible says that God exists.
Since (2) is True because of (1), there should be no further discussion.

Good posts. I read that article (in the paper) and almost clipped it, but
decided that, like arguments against religion, the faithful will always find
some way to get around logic -- whether by ignoring the argument, pretending
to misunderstand it, or whatever.

There are a lot of things in this world that are not logical, but
that does not make them anyless true.
In the early 1800's it was logical to pull off ones finger nails to
let the bad blood out... So much for logic!

The "LOGIC" when confronted by faith will always find some way of weasling
out of a truthful reply...wether by ignoring the question, pretending
to misunderstand it, or whatever.
Favorite question: Where did Matter come from?
"Logic" reply: Ummmmmm
Did you hear about the train crash in siberia?
Truth: Always put away for fear of bashing unstable "logic" grounds.
The Answer: There will always be two sides. It's not who "wins"..it's
what you do and say to try and win.
Typical : Both sides resort to name calling and temper tantrums.
Reason : Human nature.
Logic : Human nature can't exist because it can't be measured...and
its effects are not provable.
SO much for Socrates.

Hard topic. Even for myself, a Christian to discuss in terms to
a world so swiftly turning in on itself.
How does one express what, who and why God is to another without
lengthy dialogues of assertations and promises?
Answer: It all depends on the person asking about God.
If the person is asking to solidify negatives, the person will
rest assuredly get what he/she wants..
If the person is genuinely searching for answers..this will also
prove to be fruitless more often than not because folks just have
long forgotten how to stop and seek truth.
Truth can only be recognized by one who looks for it in earnest.
Rather than take a selfish self - destructive way out of a crisis
or question or other problem, there are so few who would rest
predjuduces of sensory input and search in the heart.
The heart, the world says is a weak spot. Only wimps and children
speak from the heart and look to it for answers. Might be called
overtly emotional too.
So..my question is...
Why haven't you searched your heart if you're looking for God?

I don't think I put my remark in quotes, so I didn't really misquote you,
since both statements can be read with the same connotations. Try 'em.
As to me naming a time and place for a GT, since your house seems to be
limited to a few special friends, and since I am now coming into a season
where my weekends will be (hopefully) quite busy, and since my wife is
scheduled for major surgery on the 12th of Sept., I'll pass, at least for
now. She will be laid up for about 6 weeks, and what time I will not be
clowning (professionally) I will be caring for her. Once that is behind us,
perhaps there will be more time for the little pleasures of life.
If you wish to use this post as fuel to further fire the flames of
bitterness you have already showed toward me, have at it. You only hurt
yourself.

I am not "Bitter" toward you Paul... I am just keeping a promise.
Every one on this board knows it was you who made personal attacks against
my voice... That were totaly uncalled for by the way. I am just helping
by humoring you. People who know me well, know I don't hold hate or anger
against anyone.... including you. But they do know I try to do what I
promise.
As for the GT's at my house... over the years you have been invited
before...but chose never to come. Seems to me that is your problem. You
are always to busy for your friends.... I, on the other hand, make the time
to be with friends. You obviously think you are the ONLY one who is busy.
I feel sorry for you Paul...no anger there.
I hope a speedy recovery for your wife.... and you too!
"God Bless" I say, in a (LOW) voice....... (CALM) as well

James Hawley was going to be at the GT for sure he told me. He had

weeks ago). I have called his answering machine...and yet, I do not get a
return call. Where is James Hawley? Does anyone know? If so, please

Six weeks ago I asked my theology teacher if God loved Satan. She
said that the answer would require some thought and that she would get back
to me. Last week, she suffered a nervous breakdown.
Perhaps you'all could help with my problem.
Does God love Satan?
Does God love Satan more that mere mortals (you and I)?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Humbly,

From what I hear, Crack is heaven.
Some people are so trodden on by society that in order to get their piece of
heaven, right here, right now, they become addicted to crack. I have not
tried it although it was offered to me. I do not have the space for this
type of heaven as I am raising a family. On people's deathbeds they should
be given a choice of crack, LSD, heroin or a blow job. -Rod
