If the terrorists kill any more hostages:

[A] We should use our military might to punish those involved even if it
means a few innocent civilians get killed.
[B] We should try to step up more talks with the terrorists.
[C] We should give the terrorists weapons or money to try and buy back the
    hostages.
[D] We should kidnap a few of their people and hang them when they hang
or kill any of ours. (Eye for an Eye)
[E] Do nothing like we do now......

How do you vote [A-E] or [CR] to abort:$

The NEW Stealth B-2 bomber ?

[A] Yes, we should have it in our national defense arsenal.

[B] No, we do not need this over priced weapon system.

[C] Undecided, I don't know yet.

Poll results to date:
[A] 14 [B] 10 [C] 8

I gather the above vote shows we may be pro-hawk, but it is hard to
tell with so many 'Undecided' votes.... and that is why I perfer just 'YES'
and 'NO' type Vote questions.

Hi! to all of you. Great to see all the old familiar names, except AproPoet,
what happened to him?

Did I happen to miss out on Classic Apollo this year?

That's what I get for running around the country. Just returned from hopping
the San Juan Islands near Seattle. What a place! Wow! What a place! To
return to 108 degrees was traumatic, to say the least. However, did anyone
happen to step outside tonight? Cool!!!! It should make the headlines, or
something.

I captured everything in the buffer (pulling Rod's line, but it's true) so
can't remark on anything pertinent yet. But it didn't look like there were
any religious wars or wars of any kind. Nice touch, Good Sysop, for sure.

Sure miss my 2400 baud modem at times like this, but I sacrificed it to my
BBS, in case you didn't know.

It was like being in a time-warp to see Spaz on here. Hope she doesn't stay
away long.

Peace and stuff to all of you.

I was just there looking up Paul Savage and saw it still lists him as a CoCo

be listed, but please update what you can...it only takes a few seconds.
(Don't worry, you won't drown) However, I do encourage you too put in your
phone number. The Crazy days of years past seem to be over. I have not
heard of any phone complaints. And remember, ONLY other $tatus users have
access to the hite pages.

So Rep. Beachum wants to replace the motto, the flag, stamps and Uncle Sam.
Sounds to me like the only thing that needs replacing is Rep. Beachum.
As to stamps, they change quite often, as new designs are submitted and
accepted. (Some of them are the world's ugliest stamps according to
philatelists). The rest are age old traditions and symbols, and should
remain so.
I guess that's about the best we can expect from someone from New England,
eh?

Re: "It was a mistake to ever place females in this position in the first
place.
If I ever need help from the police, I hope they don't send a 5 foot 100
pound petite female to help me out." .....
I used to think that way but have since changed my mind. There is a family
that lives near that has four teenage punk rocker and a bunch of their
friends over all the time. They are totally un disciplined. I happened to go
out front just when a police car pulled up in front of their house - the
punks were sitting on the lawn. Before they could get away, the two police
got out of the car and nabbed one of them. (I do not know what he did!) The
police that did the nabbing was as you discribed - a woman about 5 foot,
weighing 100 lbs. The punk came up swinging, but before he could hit his
mark, she had him slung against a tree trunk, his hands behind his back and
cuffed. The other policeman made sure the others (3) did not interfer. As
she forced him into the police car, one of the others hit the policeman and
knocked him too his knees. The police woman shoves the cuffed one in the car
and in one movement, hits the guy with her billy club and he fell on the
ground moaning. The policeman then cuffed him and they took both of them
away! She could protect me anytime!! From that time on, I had more respect
for women police! -=*) ANN (*=-

She sure sounds qualified from your story. There are exceptions to all
things more or less. Still, all things considered, I would prefer a 200
pound male to a 100 pound female to help out when I need protection.

Bob, it has come to my attention that, to my great personal shame, I have
given you some erroneous information.
I said that Kareem Abdul Jabbar, prior to his conversion to the Muslim
religion, had been named Cassius Clay. Actually, his real name was George
Foreman, but he was better known to affectionate fans as "Dr. J." (short for
"Jabbar").

I hope this helps!

This morning I went to 20th Av. and Cocopah Streets to make a key
for a Datsun. This address is (smack) in the middle of the projects. After
making the key, and giving him a bill for $20, this kid hands me a Fifty
dollar bill like it was nothing. The time I was there I noticed a lot of
cars pulling up and talking with these kids about something or other. A few
things were exchanged from time to time but I didn't see exactly what it
was.

In any case I managed to have a conversation with one of the people
about 'why society is so drug-ridden and falling apart.' I haven't got the
full conversation 'set' in my mind at this time but the 'gist' of it is:

"Who in the hell wants to join society the way it is? If I followed the
main road then I could look forward to having a job for the rest of my life
with two weeks off each year and always have these big bills to pay. The
life of the average person, the majority, is pitiful to say the least. Yes,
a few 'make it' but the overwhelming majority of us (blacks) end up at
McDonalds or Taco Bell or some other job that just allows (us) to barely elk
out a living for the remainder of our lives. The current society, social
system can just go straight to hell. It is no fun and isn't even decent.
It is the rich white people who need economic slaves and they try to train
us to do their dirty work. I'd rather make $500 a day that $25."

I'll go over my notes some more and see if I left anything out. -Rod
