>From NRA - CALIFORNIA NEWS Reprinted with permission.
Sacramento - The following is an excerpt of a letter received in the
NRA's Sacramento office. It was written by a Chinese student living in
California whose family still resides in Beijing. From them the writer
received firsthand reports of the death, destruction and total humiliation
of the Chinese students in Tiananmen Square. She heard reports of soldiers
shooting the wounded in hospitals and rolling over children with tanks.
She wanted to share her thoughts with all Americans. But because of the
oppression and the lack of freedom in her country and because she fears for
her family's safety, her name and specific references to her family have
been respectfully withheld.
****************************************************************************
Dear Sir,
I am a female student from Beijing, China. I have very nice parents and a
very happy family. All of my family are in danger now.
I call them every day since this China tragedy has happened and they tell
me all types of horrible stories which they saw their own eyes. They are
eyewitnesses and the last word I got from my family is: "don't worry. If
they get me, they get me. No matter what happens. The history and the

people will approve that I am right. Tell the American people never to lose
their guns. As long as they keep their guns in their hands, whatever
happened here will never happen there."
So many Chinese people got killed or murdered just like ants, because they
didn't have guns to fight back or even protect themselves. It really makes
me teary. We have no reason to ignore that. I think it's a good example
for the American people. I think Chinese people's blood and death should
wake up American people. Don't be so naive.
You can never ban all crimes by banning the guns. The Chinese Government
took away all the guns from the people since 1949. Guns were totally banned.
Since I was a small girl, I was told to love my country, to love Communist
Party, to love the people's army, which I did. Chinese people trust their
Government, but now the Government is the most terrible criminal in the
world, since the Government made the people turn in their guns in 1949.
They have already totally destroyed my last respect and dream. Now I'm
watching the American people as they are going to lose their rights of
freedom. It really makes my heart broken. I love America and American
people.
I don't want to see the same thing happen here. The people losing their

guns means they lose the right to protect themselves. Chinese former
leader, Chairman Mao said: "the power and right comes from the barrel of
guns, who will be the winner, who lose guns, will lose everything."
I learned this from my people's blood and death. Even if all the guns
were banned, you can't ban the criminal's. They still have guns. It's even
better for them. The military, police have guns. Who can be sure they will
never turn their guns to their people? As long as criminals, police and
military are there, the people should never give away their guns.
The other heart breaking thing is before I thought it's free press here,
but actually I found out, there is no free press here either, just like
China, I've had a lot of interviews, T.V., radio and newspaper, but they
only print what they want. As soon as I mention about guns, they cut it off
immediately, just like the Chinese government did. They only print their
own opinion and stop all other voice. It supposed to be equal reporting,
not one voice only.
The American government is very good now, but nobody can guarantee it will
be the same in the future. The American forefathers foresaw this and that
is why you have the second amendment in the Constitution. American people,
please take heed before it's too late and irreversible.

What I was getting at was your comment that the U.S. and Israel are somehow
to blame for the terrorists' actions. That attitude is the same attitude
that blames 'society' for a criminal's activity. Although there may exist
certain 'extenuating' circumstances, the responsibility for their actions
lie ultimately with the terrorist or the criminal.
Your statement sounded just like that of any other terrorist apologist.

I recently received a free copy of "World Monitor". For those who are

I think that K.D. Lang and "Phranc" should be forced to mud wrestle in the
nude. K.D. Lang, for those who don't know, is a female country music singer
who bears a superficial resemblance to Peter Petrisko. "Phranc" is a female
folk-singer, and is even more butch than Lang, if that is possible.

A while back I remember hearing a discussion concerning the U.S. military
and the military of the smaller eastern countries such as Iran and others in
the area.
The U.S. can fly over in a billion dollar plane and wipe out a large area
while the smaller countries can only respond with acts of specific
terrorism. It was described like an ant attacking a elephant. What
recourse to the indescretions of the U.S. does a small country have? I
guess the answer would be 'acts of terrorism. Neither you or I really knows
what is happening in the world. Coverups abound and until all major parties
are dead the information will not be released to the general public, of
which you and I are a part.
I think that each country should find a ten year old boy or girl who has
been reared in a home where love exists. They should then be placed in the
highest position of that country. Then a world summit should be held and
peace talks started. I'd say that in about ten minutes or less our fragile
little world would be at peace.
Our leaders are hard of heart, greedy for personal wealth, and are subject
to the pressures of others in high positions.
I say, either make peace and get on with some quality, fun living or explode
all existing nuclear bombs all over the world in order to end this tragedy.

Well, the letter you reprinted from the Chinese person was
interesting. It is obvious that it did not come from the CIA. Sounds
genuine to me although a NRA radical could have written it. Either way, I
agree with its content.

RE: That letter from the Chinese student. I cannot verify the veracity of
its source, but it seems to me that the CIA or other U.S. government agency
would be an unlikely source. It would be kinda silly trying to stir up
people about the iminent loss of their civil rights, all the while
continuing on that same path.
RE: Terrorism/World Affairs. You are not really as naive as your message
would have us believe. Merely ignoring the FACT that there are individuals
with some power, who hate our guts, and can justify that hatred with some
claim that we are responsible for their ills, changes nothing.
It boils down to this. They say that they have legitimate claims, and
drive home that claim by the TERRORIZING of the general public. You must
admit that these tactics only work against relatively free and open
societies, where other methods of settling your claims have a successful
history. Terrorist acts are relatively useless in closed societies, as news
media is controlled, and police power reigns supreme. Therefore, I can
conclude, that either the terrorist stated goals are not based in legitimate
claims, or their stated goals are merely a facade to conceil their true
goals, the destabilization of an otherwise open and free society.
For an example, just look at the U.S. So far, in the name of "Fighting
the War on Drugs", Bennett has managed to diminish the Second Amendment, and
is pushing for a suspension of the privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus.
Thus, in the name of fighting a threat comparable to internal terrorism, our
rights are slowly being eliminated. Its any totalitarian's dream-come-true.

Loyalty is a funny thing. For instance, a person born in the
U.S. has a loyalty for their country just as a person has a loyalty for
the school they attended or the city and state they live in. To most
people other schools or states, etc. are somehow inferior. They are
proud to be where they are as they believe within themselves that they
were dealt the best hand.
People who are born in Iran or Israel are taught the same
loyalty from birth. They are made to feel proud to be where they are.
Their newscasts and the printed word see to it that they are
continually reminded that above all, they are Iranians or whatever they
happen to be. All other places on the globe, they are assured, are
just not quite as good or as lucky.
The little Iranian, Shiite Muslim, boy or girl believe, as they
are taught, that America as well as all other places are sub-standard.
They feel the pride of loyalty just as little American boys and girls
do. It is the same substance. When an act of aggression is made
against 'their' homeland, the press' job is to see to it that all
citizens take the side of the government, truth be damned. And the
people believe it, or course.

Can you just imagine what it would be like if a government
admitted it had made an illegal act of aggression for self profit? The
people and the soldiers would rebel. The military fighting man is the
most brain-washed of all people and understandable so.
My only loyalty, if you can call it that, is to the Universe,
to the Planet Earth, to my family and myself. I want to live on a good
running world, a place that is fun for everyone. We aren't even close
to that goal. This just proves to me that those who pride themselves
on thinking they are the most intelligent species, aren't really
intelligent at all. Sure, we are smart and cunning and we can build
big buildings and big bombs. We know how to control the lives of
others while living high on the hog, so to speak, ourselves. But where
it really matters we are lacking. Our cities are overburdened with
mayhem of all sorts. Our prisons are severely overcrowded and our own
government lies to its people in order to change opinion. I'm sure it
happens, at this time in our human development, in all other lands as
well. -Rod

Your message was good but in your last paragraph you proved my
point. Our self-serving, Government of the Government, by the Government
and for the Governemnt, One Nation Under Rule will take away our rights just
as we accuse others of. The war on drugs is a good example in that many a
government person uses, on a regular basis, illegal drugs.
Besides, those in Holland have more rights than we do and they are
becoming more progressive. It would seem that the U.S. is going in a
retro-grade motion concerning individual rights.
What is the solution? I suspose it is in politics and that is why I
will support the Liberatrian Party. Sure, they could be pulling a con-job
on us but I have no other choices short of all out, violent revolution.
Although I imagine that if people were to get together again like in the
late sixties and make large marches on government that something would
change for the better. It may even be fun. Our politicians own us, so to
speak and it seems that they do what they damn well please.
We are not only economically bankrupt but morally kaput as well. We
need the ideas of the Libertarians to gain a large enough entry into
government in order to make some changes. I am damn tired of the same,
same, same, year after year. -Rod
