That leech! He waits until you have a rock bottom sale to come in and 'buy'
something. I suppose he'll expect a 'cut' from that sale too! Landlords that
take a cut of a man's hard earned pay check are leeches. Where did a stupid
law like that come from anyway? It is no different than a landlord renting
out apartments and expecting a cut of the guy's salery because he is going
to work from the landlord's apartment and parking his car in his carport! A

come into the yard yesterday where Thang is resting out under the canopy. He
was about 60ish - he came back in the house chuckling. Said "I see someone
has a great sense of humor"! OF course, I had to explain the story and he
said "With friends like that, who needs enemies?" Then he proceeds to tell
me a story about some stuffed frog with huge testicles that was being mailed
around to everybody - etc. etc. After he left (to which I was glad) I
realized I was holding a conversation with a strange man in my house about a
'big, humongous dick and balls and a gigantic, huge testicled frog! I can

Dukakis in 1976 activly supported Massachusetts Question 5 calling for
the confiscation of all handguns.
Two years ago Dukakis told Massachusett GOAL Director Mike Yacino and
civil rights leader Roy Innis : "I don't believe in people owning guns, only
the police and military. And I'm going to do everything I can to disarm
this state."
Dukakis is also an advocate of the present Massachusetts law, which
requires registration of ALL firearms (including BB guns), requires state
police to be informed of ALL firearms sales and transfers, and requires even
the owner of a single shot .22 rifel to be licensed, subject to a one-year
mandatory prison sentence.
Dukakis, is clearly the most anti-gun candidate ever nominated by a
major party! This makes Bush look like a pro-gun stalwart, despite his vote
for the 1968 Gun Control Act and his call for a ban on plastic guns last
February.
Bush in his acceptance speech said: "Free men and women have a right to
own a gun to protect their homes and families."

Let's not give up more of our freedoms and rights... Vote Bush!

Anyway, yes, FDR's long running affair was fairly well known, although the
media wasn't quite as sensationalist as it is today, and JFK's extra-marital
hijinks were no secret either, so not too much has really changed, other
than emphasis. Perhaps we shouldn't dig so deply into the privat lives of
our country's leaders, but I think that we have a right as well as an
obobligation to expect and choose those whose moral integrity is above
question when we talk about the center of such awesome power.

Presidential mistresses:
Ann is right, the public didn't know nor did they really care about the
personal life of the Presidents. When I was a kid Ike was President, and
even though my folks were Democrats they always talked about the President
as if he was bigger than life. It wasn't until after he died that the
muck-rakers began to "tell all" about his girlfriend during the war.

Kennedy was the same way. My folks still think of him as almost "St. John."
and my dad won't listen to any of the garbage about him smuggling women up
the back stairway of the White House.

My question is: How does it help us, in the running of the country, to know
every wart and blemish on the chief executive's face (or any other part of
his anatomy)?

So, that's my two centavos worth. See Y'aa!

Thanks for the support. I am so tired of all these expose' stories and have
flat quit reading them. However, the ones about the president and future
ones cannot be missed. The media makes sure of that. Reporters used to be
considered the 'friends' of the people - bringing them local as well as
global news. Now they seem to be a bunch of blood suckers looking for dirt
more than real news. Of course, some of the presidents have been at fault -
like Johnsom showing the world his scar and Reagan certainly hasn't downed
played his A## operation. I want to idolize my president - to feel secure he
is taking care of my country and is above all reproach. Sigh -
unfortunately, that will probablly never be again. See you. =*--ANN--*=

The reason I mentioned him was because I thought he was president when you
were a kid! Hahaha. Only joking. Just remember fellow - your older than I!
My family was pretty much into politics in the 40s - I don't remember them
ever mentioning FDR was having any affair or that him and Elenor didn't get
along! When Kennedy was in - I was deeply involved! To everyone I knew -
rep. or dem. -- they were the idols of America - they brought well needed
class to the oval office - they set standards to which the people followed,
both in the White House and out. The only small hint of scandal I read about
was when Jackie took a vacation right after he baby died - went water skiing
on the Riviera with out Jack and there was an un-know, handsome man on the
scene. It was dropped pretty quick - yet years after he died, it suddenly
became an issue - one article stated she was having an affair with the guy!
Re: Marilyn - I don't believe it - didn't then and won't ever believe it! It
has never been proven! It has been talked about so much to sell books and
magazines, that it has become the 'truth' without a shadow of a doubt! Not
so. Anyway - that is all beside the point. He was the last president America
was in love with and I'm still looking for one like him - be he democrate,
Republican or Libertarian! How can we respect the 'Head Man' if we are going
to know what hand he wipes with or if he feels lust? (Carter) =*--ANN--*=

Whatever happened to our sense of values, that the morals of our leaders
and/or potential leaders should not be an issue?
Should we not be as selective about a candidate's moral values as we are
about his political ambitions? Personally, I believe that we the people are
entitled to the very best our country has to offer, and that includes a very
high plane of personal morality and integrity.
As much as has been bandied about this BBS concerning my liberal Democrat
leanings, and the conservative Republicanism of others, when all is said and
done, I will vote for the man or men I consider the most qualified to fill

I too would love to know our president had/has high moral standards - but
for one thing, where are you going to find them in this day and age? Where
did we find them in the past? I think you will agree that FDR was/still is
considered one of most outstanding - most loved president - yet he was not
pure in this field. Which one was? Can we be sure? Once in office and doing
a good job, who cares as long as it is not flaunted in the headlines or
National Inquiror! I do not think the individual presidents are as much at
fault as the public in general that buys these idiotic rags and believes
them! A public that thrives on scandal and dirt! Even the news media can't
take all the blaim because they know what sells papers! Somewhere along the
line, the American people decided to tear down and rip apart our idols! Now,
no one gets any respect whether they are good or not. When I was a kid, we
didn't even know about the movie stars private lives. We worshiped them and
tryed to be like them. They set a shining example - heroism - fedelity -
- home and family - etc. etc. Confidential magazine stopped that and started
it all. Now we know who is going to bed with whom in all details. The movies
show the government in a bad light - how then can we respect them? Just
recently I read a book about the life of Betty Grable. Now here was miss
'wonderful' - she never cheated on screen - was patriotic on screen and off,
was a good wife and mother. That book was an expose' much to my surprise.
She was a terrible person in private life - sordid. Too bad - I'd of reather
not known and then have another one of my idols bite the dust! =*--ANN--*=

I thought God always was. So how could he have chose to die before
he was born if he wasn't born but always was. He sure picked a hell of a
time to do it, going in amoungst a bunch of crazies and showing off. But of
course he had to know what would happen, he designed the situation.
But the whole made up story is stupid so why am I discusing this?
