Shoot, I should have gone over to Peter's. I had brought the video
camera and was going to catch you on video, heh heh. Oh well.

Supposing there were enough people for a GT, would you still be
against the idea of me videotaping it, Cliff?
If so, why? You may not feel that you are photogenic, but I think it
would be interesting to get the gun-shooters on tape, shooting their guns
and talking about them. You could take the opportunity to talk on-screen
about how you feel about guns, and even share some tips for self-defense.
If I did do such a video presentation, it would not be edited with a
negative bias. It would simply be a piece of posterity, to make the whole
event more interesting and would be available for anybody on the BBS who
would like a copy.

There is a peculiar dichotomy of thoughte re: guns. An older "generation" or
group of men learned to live with them, depend upon them, use them as
essential tools, have them as an essential part of life. This was in general
not an "emotional" attachment, any more than a mechanic's attachment to a
very well designed, finely crafted tool could be termed"emotional". It wasd
more a matter of simple respect for a good instrument. A somewhat "younger"
(often) group seems to have an emotional antipathy. "I wouldn't have a gun
in my house!" "Guns are evil!" "Gun carriers dropped napalm on defenseless
women and bayonetted babies!" Why do some things (guns, abortions, death
penalties, Martin Luther King holidays, cholesterol, and light beer, for
example) seem to generate such emotional, non-logical response? Christianity
seems to do the same. Zak's question, for all its fire and heat, is a good
logical one.

You are correct in identifying the main cause of inflation as government
increasing the money supply, i.e. monetary inflation. It is also true
however, that government manipulation of wages/prices causes price
inflation. I person is just as unemployed whether their job was destroyed by
monetary or price inflation, price inflation just doesn't affect as many
people, or do it as quickly.

Why don't you want to be videod at a shootout GT? I photographed the last
one, and it was my idea to video the next one. We don't have to have
everyone on the board committed before deciding to have one. There were
plenty of people interested, and proper promotion might attract more once
the date is set.

About three years ago, an ex-girlfriend of Zak's became pregnant. To
make things clear here, Zak hadn't seen this person for a year or so. Yes,
someone else got her pregnant. Rod & I, however, jokingly said "Have you
seen her lately? Ha ha". Yes, we were joking.
Cliff heard this exchange as he was over at Rod's too. Yes, he was
still friends with Rod back then. As we all know, Cliff doesn't have a
sense of humor so perhaps he took our ribbing of Zak seriously.
So, yes, I confess. Rod & I started the vicious rumor about Zak's
roving member. It wasn't our fault! We hardly knew Cliff then. We just
assumed he had a sense of humor. I guess one should never assume. This is
reminiscent of an "Odd Couple" episode, with the exception of course that we
didn't have any tickets to scalp.

Yes, the still pictures were great... I like still pictures, just
not moving pictures. Also, the last shoot out, the 223 did not come out for
display. I will however consider it....and since there seems to be good
interest after all, maybe one will be scheduled. However, I go to school on
Sundays.... sorry! (next 6 weeks anyways)
If you recall, the last GT, and in that time frame, there was a user
slamming assault rifles as no good but to kill people. So I was sensitive
to let GT'ers shoot it.
If a Saturday is not to your liking, I am sure Dean Hathaway could run
a 'Shoot-Out GT' just fine with out me. My feelings will NOT be hurt!

OK, so are there any Saturdays within the next month or so when you
people *can't* make it? When is the best time to shoot guns? Do you go to
the range at 7AM, or would a GT at 11 AM work just as well for everybody, or
what?
Cliff, what is wrong with moving pictures? The key is to pretend
the camera is not there and just ACT NATURAL. You can do it! You've been
acting natural all your life!
For the record, I admit it was Dean's idea to do the video. Forgive me
if it looked like I was trying to take all the credit for it. (Heh heh.)
Before we even begin to discuss videotaping the GT though, we have to
establish that a GT will even take place. So please suggest what dates will
be best for you.

OH, so NOW you explain it!
I figured this was something Noelle-related. I just didn't think
anybody could seriously confuse me with Noelle's runaway boyfriend Josh, who
got her pregnant and left her over a year after I last saw her. You and
your jokes/pranks, Peter -- one of these days your pranks are going to get
you into some trouble! Yuk yuk...yucca...
