I can't understand your line of reasoning. If I ate an apple today it
doesn't matter in the least who believes I ate an apple. Even if everyone
in the entire world denies I ate the apple it doesn't mean I didn't eat the
apple. Truth is truth and false is false. Believing or disbelieving
doesn't change it. I guess I'm like Pulley in that I'm a simple country
boy. I can't comprehend truth not being truth.

existed, it would no longer be faith. No one can prove God exists. If
God's existence could be proven, only the dummies would be agnostic. I
accept God's existence by faith. All Christians accept God by faith.

Let's put it the way the Bible puts it, in Matthew I believe. Jesus Himself
said that if your eye becomes an offense, pluck it out, because it is
better for you to go through life with one eye than to suffer eternity in
the lake of fire. If your hand offends, cut it off, for it is better for you
to go through life with one hand than to suffer eternity in the lake of
fire.
I do not know what portion of Lippard's anatomy was impaled, nor do I know
the extent of the damage, but apparently he either has recovered or is
recovering, with a reasonably good prognosis. In the meanwhile, according to
reports I have read here, he is reconsidering his former atheistic position,
and is at least attempting to find the reality of God in his life, even if
he may be looking in the wrong direction.
There is an old saying, (not necessarily Scriptural) t, that says the
harder the head, the bigger the hammer you need. Perhaps Jim's accident was
the hammer he needed to get God's message through his skull. If so, then
some good has come from what could have been a real tragedy.
At any rate, as I said in an earlier post, I wish Jim a speedy and complete
recovery, and if the accident has given him cause to rethink his point of
view concerning God, then praise the Lord.
(Ann, you may consider this a response to your post as well.)

continue to do so, but when you slander me with the label of agnostic, I

accepting your God strictly on faith should win some sort of Apollo's
Illogical Statement of the Year. At least I nominate it as such.
Since you only have faith that something (anything) is true then I
know for certain that you are an agnostic. Since you do not know, proof
positive, since you only accept X on faith, admit that you are agnostic.
Then you will have said something that IS truth.

The other day I was within fifty feet of an accident involving
a Datsun and a small boy, approximate age 10. The boy was running
across a street at a corner but not in a marked cross walk. The auto
was going about 35mph. The auto hit the boy sending him into the
windshield and then knocking him across two lanes of traffic, knocking
his shoes off. The boy was fairly bloody and was going into shock when
I got to him. Several people, myself included, helped comfort the boy
until the paramedics arrived. A Van Buren hooker was the first person
on the scene and she gently kept the boy from moving around. She kept
his head from the pavement and said comforting words to him in order to
help calm him down. She had on a short mini-skirt and had no underware
on. At a time like that I doubt if anyone paid any real attention to
her, including the police and medical personnel. She was allowed to
stay with the boy to the minute he was lifted into the ambulance.
My question is this: What did this small boy do that caused him
to be hurt? Did he deny Jesus or did he call God a nerd? The driver
of the auto, stopping as quick as possible, got out of the car and
seeing what had happened, broke into hysterical sobs. At least
several others cried or simple turned away in order not to become
emotionally involved. Was this a test? -Rod

That is a joke Rod, you are the most prejudiced person on this BBS
as far as I know..... Prejudiced against Christians. You slam them at
every opportunity for the mistakes of the few. Just because one is a
christian, does not make one perfect. Just substitute the word 'BLACK' or
'MEXICAN' for the word Christian in your past posts, and you will see what a
biggot you really are.
So I guess Earth is Hell because of people like yourself.... That is

I don't care that you don't believe in Christ the Son of God, but I
