Geee, I got this letter in my mail box, and it had only 21 cents in
postage on it... so it must be junk Mail... I was about to toss it (since
Paul said it would be Junk mail) when I knoticed it said "Arizona Department
of Revenue" on it... After opening it, I discovered my State Refund check
inside.... Geeee, good thing I read it... ALL the rest of my mail was
however garbage! Poor trees!

We realize the past six months have been less than pleasant for you in
having to support WordPerfect 4.1 for the Atari ST. We are the first to
admit we made a mistake by releasing the software too early and we do
apologize. At the same time we have done everything in our power to correct

I have recieved the new disks (dated 4-15-88) and will update anyone

I think the solution to the pronoun problem is to handle English grammar
the same way as one book I saw handled Norwegian grammar.
Let's re-do the gender system.
First, there should be a gender to cover things. Neuter works just fine
for that, so we can leave it as it is.
Then, a sex-nonspecific gender for referring to beings. This one will
take some work.

Ann's knows that people die horribly in any war. What she said was
the movies on WWII showed the Americans having fun while the Germans and
Japenese were dying right and left, all without the benefit of blood or
gore, remember? Also those older movies protrayed sex by showing a man
kissing a woman and in the next scene it was the next morning already.
By the way Ann, out of the five war movies, four were black & white
WWII and one was Chuck (the man) Norris dealing with terrorist, middle east
hijackers. His motorcycle was equipped with rockets, fore and aft and he
could hit anything without hardly aiming. He saved us all.
The movie, Raid on Entebee was a movie based on a real occurance, it
showed how Isreal soldiers planned and carried out a mission to save
hostages taken from a plane. This movie with Chuck (the man) Norris was a
total parallel although I expected Superman to show up any moment. Too bad
we had to fake the whole thing although some KIDS may have believed it and
joined the military from seeing the movie.

Whoever examines the actions of Severus, will find him to
have been a very ferocious lion and an extremely astute fox,
and will find him to have been feared and respected by all
and not hated by the army; and will not be surprised that
he, a new man, should have been able to hold so much power,
since his great reputation defended him always from the
hatred that his rapacity might have produced in the people.
But Antoninus his son was also a man of great ability, and
possessed qualities that rendered him admirable in the sight
of the people and also made him popular with the soldiers,
for he was a military man, capable of enduring the most
extreme hardships, disdainful of delicate food, and every
other luxury, which made him loved by all the armies.
However, his ferocity and cruelty were so great and unheard
of, through his having, after executing many private
individuals, caused a large part of the population of Rome
and all that of Alexandria to be killed, that he became
hated by all the world and began to be feared by those
about him to such an extent that he was finally killed by a
centurion in the midst of his army. Whence it is to be
noted that this kind of death, which proceeds from the
deliberate action of a determined man, cannot be avoided by
princes, since anyone who does not fear death himself can
inflict it, but a prince need not fear much on this account,
as such men are extremely rare. He must only guard against
committing any grave injury to any one he makes use of, or
has about him for his service, like Antoninus had done,
having caused the death with contumely of the brother of
that centurion, and also threatened him every day, although
he still retained him in his bodyguard, which was a foolish
and dangerous thing to do, as the fact proved.

Whenever a plane is hijacked you must assume that allowing it to succeed
will encourage even more hijacking (or other terrorism) and that your mom

rushed and the terrorists killed it would have gone out of style very
quickly.

If one were to assume that one's parents were present on the said hijacked
passenger vehicle, one would have the more reason to storm the vehicle and
neutralize the hijackers as quickly as possible.
Several events have shown that counter-terrorist activities can be quite
successful, such as the already mentioned raid on Entebbe by the Israelis,
in 1976, the successful storming of the hijacked Lufthansa airliner in
Mogadishi by the West German GSG-9, as well as several actions by the
British SAS. Of course, they Egyptians really screwed up with their
attempted rescue.
Oh well.

Hypothetically speaking, let's say there was a house on your block,
the place was rather messy in appearance, and on occasion, screams could be
heard coming from it. Many resided in that house and from time to time a
dead body would end up in the yard. Most would deem that house to be a
place of crazies and would stay away altogether. It would appear that the
most intelligent members of that family were not intelligent enough to put
the place in peaceful order, because this house has been basically the same
for ages.
The situation I describe is what a space alien would see and feel if
they happened upon this planet, stay the hell away, none of the inhabitants
of this planet are intelligent, capable or caring enough to have a good
place to live, they are still in the illiterate, insanity stage. Come back
in a few thousand years and see if it has improved.
The law of the land is screw your brother for a profit, get fat while
some poor slob is working for you, after all you aren't related to them (at
least you don't think so) and you don't even know them, so, it's okay.
Rent some poor family a house then squeeze them dry, tell them it is
a comfortable place (but to make it comfortable they must use loads of
electricity for cooling and heating), stay several weeks longer in Europe
from their rent increase, it don't matter.
The sheep accept their environment because they are constantly
reminded that other places are worse off. This is a cop-out and while your
freedoms are being taken away, one by one, you will be told of the other
places where they neither have freedom or food.
