The proof of the pudding is in the eating, or so they say. Wait and see, if
privatization ever comes, who those are that are the first to grab off the
high profit metropolitan business areas, leaving the highly unprofitable
inner city and rural areas to what is left of the Postal Service.
As toyour liberal New Republic, much if not all of the press is down on the
USPS to som degree, since their pennies-on-the-pound second class rates have
been brought into reason and made to pay the cost of delivery, something
that had been subsidized for years under the old Post Office.
Small wonder that they are crying sour grapes.
The facts still remain, if one wants to look at the figures instead of the
rhetoric. The USPS doesn't need fixing. Don't mess with it.

So you now take the position that all's fair as long as it's labelled
"satire". OK. Now we can call you Cliff Larry Flynt Kolostow.
Love you too! Keep smiling!

O.k, Hawley, special agent Williams will be over soon to confiscate
and impound all of the hacked software and stolen prophyllactics
you've been storing in your basement.
Just don't resist the arrest and seizure, otherwise we will
throw you in the same cell as Ed Sharpe.

Well, looks as if I'm cut out of this one guys.
May 14-15 is deadlocked for me. Army National Guard Drill weekend and
there's no way I can shampoo them out of it...I already pulled that to
get the June drill off so I can go on anniversary vacation.

Where are the training drills? If it is in the state you should be able to
see it...

Cervelli also indicated that the 15th of May is impossible for him. Seems
he's going to be at Yellowstone from about the 12th until the 27th. He says
that if we launch without him, the rocket will be blown up by God.

Sorry, I don't believe in God.
And besides, Yellowstone is pretty cold now. (It is cold by my standards
ALL the time.) It got below freezing when I was there last August.
I'll be glad to give a tape of the launch to Peter.

Is that what you want me to tell him? I have a feeling he's going to want a
refund if he can't attend.

When I first read your last message, it made me feel like I wanted to jump
right up and get started. But I re-read it and realized, that over the years
I have done a lot of those things and it didn't make a dent! I still do
write to my Congressmen, Senators et al - once in a while, but havn't of
late. It seems to be getting harder & harder to find avenues where one can
do something. Hmmm - perhaps that's planned? It's easier on a local level. -
sometimes! I find the hardest part is to find others that are willing to be
a part of it - mainly, physically. Everyone seems to grit their teeth and
bare it anymore. They might fight tooth and nail over something like getting
records rated or getting the local sleeze joint closed up, but they won't
buck Big Brother! Most people talk big, but if they are audited for
instance, they become 'whipped pup like' in the presense of the IRS. I've
seen this happen every time. Personally, I have become afraid of Big Brother
too. They have the power that no other has. Years ago, I felt that the
United States government was my friend and I had confidence in it. Not now!

Ah, for the good ol' days, when we were more free. When only white
land-owning males could vote, and when slavery was constitutional. (BTW,
when anyone hears someone ranting on about "original intent," ask him if
slavery should be leagalized, since that was the Founding Fathers (most of
them) original intent.)
